A lens positioning mechanism includes: a member holding unit that has a function of holding a second surface of a lens member having a first surface, which is a convex optical surface, and the second surface, which is an optical surface facing the first surface, and biasing the held lens member toward a side of the first surface; and an attitude control unit that regulates edge positions of a plurality of portions on the first surface of the lens member biased by the member holding unit to position the lens member in a predetermined attitude.

Lens positioning mechanism, lens producing apparatus, and method for producing lens member

A technique capable of easily and highly accurately perform positioning of a lens member having a convex optical surface. A lens positioning mechanism is configured to include: a member holding unit that has a function of holding a lens member via an auxiliary tool attached to a second surface of the lens member having a first surface, which is a convex optical surface, and the second surface, which is an optical surface facing the first surface, and biasing the held lens member toward a side of the first surface; and an attitude control unit that abuts on a predetermined portion on the first surface of the lens member biased on the member holding unit to regulate a position of the predetermined portion and positions the lens member in a predetermined attitude.

A lens pad includes a blank, first adhesive layer, and release sheet. The first adhesive layer is formed on one surface of the blank. The release sheet comes into tight contact with the surface of the first adhesive layer to protect this surface. The arithmetic average roughness of the surface of the release sheet on the side of the first adhesive layer is 0.1 &#x3bc;m or less. The surface of the first adhesive layer from which the release sheet is peeled off is attached onto a lens as an edging target. A lens holder () is attached to a processing target lens () such that a holder center (O) coincides with a processing center position () of the lens. An axial deviation measuring mark () is displayed on the processing target lens () to coincide with a reference position mark () of the lens holder (), and the circumferential surface of the processing target lens () undergoes primary processing. After primary processing, the axial deviation of the processing target lens () is measured from the reference position mark () and axial deviation measuring mark (). When axial deviation exists, the lens holder () is removed from the processing target lens () and the processing target lens () is held again, so that the axial deviation is corrected. After that, the processing target lens () undergoes secondary processing.
