A wavelength conversion device in which a wavelength conversion element less easily comes off a substrate. A wavelength conversion device includes a substrate capable of rotating around a rotation axis, a wavelength conversion element provided around the rotation axis on one surface side of the substrate, and a fixing member that fixes the wavelength conversion element to the substrate. The wavelength conversion element includes a first surface opposed to the one surface of the substrate, a second surface on the opposite side of the first surface, and a first side surface section that connects the first surface to the second surface. The fixing member is in contact with the first side surface section in at least a part of the first side surface section when viewed from a direction parallel to the rotation axis.

Wavelength conversion device, illumination device, and projector

A projector includes a light source apparatus, light modulator, projection optical apparatus, exterior enclosure, and heat sink. The light source apparatus includes a substrate having first and second substrate surfaces, light emitters at the side facing the first substrate surface, a frame at the side facing the first substrate surface surrounding the light emitters, and a lid facing the first substrate surface. The light emitters are in an accommodation space formed by the substrate, frame, and lid. The exterior enclosure has a first surface, a second surface that intersects the first surface, and a third surface that intersects the first and second surfaces, and the area of the first surface is greater than the areas of the second and third surfaces. The first or second substrate surface faces the first surface, and the lengthwise direction of the heat dissipation fin extends along the first surface of the exterior enclosure.

Projector

A light source device according to the present disclosure includes a substrate having a first surface, a plurality of light emitting elements disposed on the first surface side of the substrate, a frame body which is disposed so as to surround the plurality of light emitting elements, and which is bonded on the first surface side of the substrate, and a lid body which has a light transmissive member, which is disposed so as to be opposed to the first surface of the substrate, and which is bonded on an opposite side of the frame body to the substrate. At least one of a first bonding section with which the substrate and the frame body are bonded to each other, and a second bonding section with which the frame body and the lid body are bonded to each other includes an organic adhesive.

Light source device and projector

A light source device according to the present disclosure includes a substrate having a first surface, a plurality of light emitting elements disposed on the first surface side of the substrate, a frame body which is disposed so as to surround the plurality of light emitting elements, and which is bonded on the first surface side of the substrate, and a lid body which has a light transmissive member configured to transmit light emitted from the plurality of light emitting elements, which is disposed so as to be opposed to the first surface of the substrate, and which is bonded on an opposite side of the frame body to the substrate. The plurality of light emitting elements is housed in a housing space, the housing space being formed by the substrate, the frame body and the lid body. The frame body is formed of a material including a nonconductive material.

A wavelength conversion element according to an aspect of the invention includes a first wavelength conversion layer that has a first light incident surface on which excitation light is incident and a first light exiting surface facing away from the first light incident surface and emits first fluorescence, a second wavelength conversion layer that has a second light incident surface on which at least the first fluorescence is incident and emits second fluorescence, and a substrate that has a first surface and a second surface facing away from the first surface and includes a light transmitting portion that transmits at least the first fluorescence. The first wavelength conversion layer is so provided that the first light exiting surface faces the first surface of the substrate, and the second wavelength conversion layer is so provided that the second light incident surface faces the second surface of the substrate.

Wavelength conversion element, light source apparatus, and projector

A wavelength converter to which the invention is applied includes a phosphor that converts the wavelength of blue light to emit fluorescence, a rotating mechanism that rotates the phosphor around an axis of rotation that extends in a light incident direction in which the blue light is incident, and a heat insulating member that is provided between the phosphor and the rotating mechanism in the light incident direction. The phosphor has a coinciding section that coincides with the rotating mechanism when viewed in the light incident direction.
