A heat transfer insulated part including a heat transfer substrate formed of a sintered metal of Cu-W or Cu-Mo, an insulating ceramic layer for electrically insulating the heat transfer substrate, formed of ceramic such as Al.sub.2 O.sub.3, SiO.sub.2 and Si.sub.3 N.sub.4, and a barrier layer provided between the heat transfer substrate and an insulating ceramic layer composed of at least either one of metal layers of W and Mo. Furthermore, preferably, an intermediate layer composed of titanium carbide and/or titanium nitride and so forth for enhancing the adhesive property between the insulating ceramic layer and the barrier layer is provided.

Heat transfer insulated parts and manufacturing method thereof

The present invention relates to a die for use in forming optical lenses made of glass or synthetic resin used in OA instruments, VTR, cameras and the like. In order to lengthen the useful life of the die by suppressing the oxidation or deterioration of the die surface due to temperature and atmosphere and reaction of materials of which lenses are made, when lenses are formed, the die is coated with a single-layer or multi-layer thin film of Si.sub.3 N.sub.4 or SiC or compounds thereof, which are superior in wear and corrosion resistance at high temperatures, by the vapor coating method.

Die for use in forming lens

A substrate is treated for forming a thin film on the surface of the substrate to obtain a hard layer adhering to the substrate surface. For this purpose the substrate is placed in a metal vapor atmosphere and simultaneously bombarded by metal or nonmetal ions which are implanted into the substrate while the metal vapor atmosphere is also being ionized.

This invention provides a process for producing a high quality powdered alloy such as cemented carbides, cermets, ceramics and iron-containing sintered alloys by sintering, characterized in that the sintering is carried out in a plasma gas atmosphere of H.sub.2, N.sub.2, CO, He and/or Ar.

Diamond powder is produced without using an ultra-high pressure apparatus by a process comprising melting carbon and a metal capable of dissolving carbon to form a liquid, subjecting the liquid to quenching at an ultra-high cooling rate to form an amorphous metal, heating the amorphous metal at a predetermined temperature to precipitate diamond crystals from the amorphous metal and then separating the phase of the amorphous metal other than the diamond to obtain diamond powder.
