A communication apparatus in a radio access network relays data transmission to and from a remote network. The communication apparatus includes a monitoring unit to monitor an authentication procedure performed when a mobile station makes a connection of a link to the remote network, as well as when the mobile station disconnects the link to the remote network. The communication apparatus also includes a producing unit to produce information for disconnecting a session of the mobile station based on progress of the authentication procedure monitored by the monitoring unit. For example, the producing unit produces information for disconnecting a session of the mobile station when the monitoring unit has observed deauthentication of the mobile station.

A network fault diagnostic device is configured in the following manner. A causal relation table stores causal relations between faults and events, and a monitor event selector refers to the causal relation table to extract a minimum event required for identifying a fault, and sets the event as a monitor event. The acquisition-event selector selects events from the causal relation table based on latest fault candidates, and sets priorities of the events selected, in the order of efficiently identifying faults. The event acquiring unit requests events in the order of the priorities set, and the event receiving unit receives each event in response to the respective requests. The present invention relates to label switch networks and allows for reducing the processing cost and processing time required at each node when various services are performed with respect to traffic engineering in the label switch networks including a multi-protocol label switching (MPLS) network. In a label switch network system a first node that is disposed at the ingress of the label switch network transfers IP packets corresponding to IP flows based on labels, and that selects and sets up layerpaths for transferring the IP packets with reference to header or payload information of the IP packets. A plurality of second nodes may be disposed at intermediate points of the network and they set up the layerpaths from the ingress to the egress of the network following the specified routes and a third node is disposed at the egress of the network. A policy server instructs the first node to set up the layerpaths in compliance with policy control protocols when a user makes a request or a status change in the network arise, and intensively controls the first node, the second nodes and the third node.

A network system comprising terminals and relaying nodes having a reservation message processing unit for transferring a packet wherein a packet receiving terminal requests a reservation of network resources. The packet receiving terminal transmits to a packet transmitting terminal a request message in which a reservation request condition is stored in order to request a resource reservation, the packet transmitting terminal having received the request message transmits to the relaying node on the same route as the packet an acknowledgement message in which the reservation request condition is stored. Each relaying node provides a resource reservation for the home relaying node according to the reservation request condition in the acknowledgement message and transfers the acknowledgement message to the same route as the packet. After the acknowledgement message has passed through all the relaying node , and when the packet receiving terminal has received the acknowledgement message, a network resource reservation procedure is completed.

Apparatus and method for resource reservation in a network system

A transmission equipment decides in which, when a frame is received from each of networks, an output physical port corresponding to an output logical port decided by a path deciding section is decided by an output physical port deciding section, a transmitting frame is outputted to the output physical port, and when following received frames are successively transmitted, an output physical port number to which a transmitting frame is outputted by a port number increment section is incremented each time a frame is transmitted, and a destination to which a transmitting frame is outputted is switched among output physical ports.

Transmission equipment and a load-distribution transmitting method in the transmission equipment

A frame relay system relays a received frame having a destination address and a frame TTL indicating a term of life of the received frame. The frame relay system includes a routing table having entries, each of the entries indicating a relationship between a destination address and a control information item, a retrieving unit for retrieving the routing table based on a destination address included in the received frame, and a frame control unit for carrying out a decrement calculation of the frame TTL of the received frame when a period of time has elapsed from a time at which an entry hit in retrieving of the routing table by the retrieving unit was formed or updated is not equal to or greater than a predetermined value and for not carrying out the decrement calculation of the frame TTL when the period of time period is equal or greater than the predetermined value.

Frame relay system

A routing system in a multimedia integrated network formed of nodes connected by links is provided for transmitting various media such as voice, image and data in a packet format. The respective nodes forming the integrated network output the packets in an optimum output direction so that conditions required by various media and reliability of communication are satisfied. Each node includes an interconnection type neural network for determining the packet output direction. An external stimulus input unit outputs an external stimulus to the neurons in the neural network in response to a present state of the integrated network, such as a packet delay time and a packet loss ratio for respective links, and a condition required by the media such as an allowable packet loss ratio. Therefore, the packet is output in an optimum direction which is adaptive to the present state of the integrated network and which satisfies a condition required by the media.

Routing system using a neural network

The present invention is designed such that the communication quality of a currently connected normal call is deteriorated and the transmission of the normal call is delayed in a network when an emergent call is set. As a result, the required bandwidth of the emergent call is successfully reserved. Furthermore, the present invention is designed such that a deteriorated normal call is detoured to a detour circuit to improve the communication quality of the normal call. In the detouring process, one or more detour circuits are managed for each normal call so that the possibility of a successful detour to a detour circuit can be raised. Additionally, in the normal call detouring process, a plurality of detour circuits guarantee a normal call its communication quality even if a single detour circuit is not enough to meet the required bandwidth of a normal call.
