A solid-state battery that includes: a solid-state battery main portion having a positive electrode layer and a negative electrode layer alternatively stacked with a solid electrolyte layer interposed therebetween; a first end surface electrode electrically connected to the positive electrode layer and disposed on a first side surface of the solid-state battery main portion; a second end surface electrode electrically connected to the negative electrode layer and disposed on a second side surface of the solid-state battery main portion; a first lower surface electrode electrically connected to the first end surface electrode and disposed on a lower surface side of the solid-state battery main portion; and a second lower surface electrode electrically connected to the second end surface electrode and disposed on the lower surface side of the solid-state battery main portion.

A method for manufacturing a ceramic plate-shaped body that efficiently manufactures a ceramic plate-shaped body having high smoothness without requiring polishing after firing. The method includes preparing an unsintered plate-shaped body, preparing a plurality of resin sheets by a resin slurry containing a spherical resin powder that is composed of a resin material being poorly-soluble in an organic solvent and burning out during firing, producing an unsintered laminate by laminating and press-bonding the unsintered plate-shaped body and the resin sheet, firing the unsintered laminate so that the unsintered plate-shaped body is sintered to form a ceramic plate-shaped body, and the ceramic plate-shaped bodies are bonded to each other with scattered fine bonding portions interposed therebetween to form a ceramic laminate, and breaking the bonding portions in the ceramic laminate so that the ceramic laminate is divided into a plurality of ceramic plate-shaped bodies.

A low temperature co-fired ceramic material includes a SiO&#x2014;BaO&#x2014;AlO-based primary component, and, as secondary components, 0.044 to 0.077 parts by weight of iron in terms of FeOand 0.30 to 0.55 parts by weight of zirconium in terms of ZrOrelative to 100 parts by weight of the SiO&#x2014;BaO&#x2014;AlO-based primary component. The SiO&#x2014;BaO&#x2014;AlO-based primary component preferably includes 47% to 60% by weight of SiO, 20% to 42% by weight of BaO, and 5% to 30% by weight of AlO.

Low temperature co-fired ceramic material, low temperature co-fired ceramic body, and multilayer ceramic substrate

In a multilayer ceramic substrate manufactured by a non-shrinking process, a bonding strength of an external conductive film formed on a primary surface of the multilayer ceramic substrate is increased. After a laminate of a multilayer ceramic substrate is formed from first ceramic layers and second shrinkage suppressing ceramic layers, and an underlayer is formed along one primary surface of the multilayer ceramic substrate, an external conductive film is formed on the underlayer. A non-sintering ceramic material powder in a non-sintered state is included in both the external conductive film and the underlayer, and this non-sintering ceramic material powder is fixed due to diffusion of a glass component from the first ceramic layers.

Multilayer ceramic substrate and method for manufacturing the same

The present invention provides a multilayered ceramic substrate having high precision and high reliability in which firing shrinkage in the planar direction thereof is suppressed and densification is achieved. The multilayered ceramic substrate is manufactured by laminating base layers each composed of a non-glass type low-temperature sintering ceramic raw material powder as a main component, and shrinkage inhibiting layers each composed of a sintering-resistant powder of alumina or the like as a main component to form a green ceramic laminate, and then firing the green ceramic laminate at the sintering temperature of the low-temperature sintering ceramic raw material powder. The shrinkage inhibiting layers contain a powder which does not soften and flow at the firing shrinkage start temperature of the low-temperature sintering ceramic powder, but permeates into the spaces of the sintering-resistant powder due to softening and flowing to densify the shrinkage inhibiting layers before sintering is completed.

Method of manufacturing multilayered ceramic substrate and green ceramic laminate

In a green laminate body including a plurality of base green layers and a plurality of constraining green layers for forming a monolithic ceramic substrate by using a non-shrinking process, when the thicknesses of the base green layers differ from each other, a thicker base green layer shrinks largely during sintering, and hence, the resulting monolithic ceramic substrate may warp in some cases. In order to solve this problem, the constraining green layers, which are in contact with the main surfaces of the individual base green layers, have different thicknesses so that a relatively thicker constraining green layer is in contact with a relatively thicker base green layer, and a relatively thinner constraining green layer is in contact with a relatively thinner base green.
