An illumination device according to the present disclosure includes: an illumination optical system that includes a first variable diaphragm and a second variable diaphragm, and that generates illumination light used for generation of an image by a pulse width modulation method on the basis of light from the light source; a luminance calculating section that calculates average luminance at least for each frame in an image signal; a gray-scale evaluation computing section that evaluates a gray-scale value in a screen for each display period of at least a unit gray-scale bit; a first aperture diameter determining section that determines an aperture diameter of the first variable diaphragm on the basis of the average luminance calculated by the luminance calculating section; and a second aperture diameter determining section that determines an aperture diameter of the second variable diaphragm on the basis of evaluation by the gray-scale evaluation computing section.

Projection optical systems and methods having variable diaphragm based on average luminance and grayscale

The present disclosure relates to a glass interposer module, an imaging device, and an electronic apparatus capable of reducing occurrence of distortion caused by thermal expansion during manufacture. A light transmissive member is charged between a glass interposer and a CMOS image sensor (CIS). Since rigidity of the glass interposer can be enhanced by this configuration, it is possible to suppress deflection of the CIS and also reduce influence of distortion given to a gyro sensor and the like which are equipped on the glass interposer, and therefore, erroneous detection of a gyro signal can be reduced. The present disclosure can be applied to a glass interposer module.

The present technology relates to a control device, a controlling method, and an imaging apparatus that make it possible to reduce a weight of a movable body while simplifying a structure and to improve control accuracy. A moving body that moves in two or more directions, and a controller that controls movement of the moving body are provided. The controller sets a control value directed to controlling of the movement of the moving body on the basis of an initial position of the moving body and an instructed position of the moving body. A parameter directed to setting of the control value is set on the basis of the initial position and the instructed position. The present technology is applicable, for example, to a shake correction device that corrects a hand shake of an imaging apparatus or a technique that achieves super-resolution by shifting a sensor to capturing a plurality of images.

[Solving Means] An electrostatic device according to an embodiment of the present technology includes an electrically conductive base material, a first conductor layer, a second conductor layer, and a bonding layer. The first conductor layer includes a first electrode portion and a first base portion and is connected to a signal line. The first base portion supports the first electrode portion and is disposed on the base material. The second conductor layer includes a second electrode portion and a second base portion and is connected to a reference potential. The second electrode portion is opposed to the first electrode portion in a first axis direction and configured to be movable relative to the first electrode portion in the first axis direction. The second base portion supports the second electrode portion and is disposed on the base material. The bonding layer is disposed between the base material and the first and second base portions and includes a plurality of first bonding portions that partially support at least the first base portion.

The multi-layer parallel transmission path includes two or more dielectric waveguides stacked in upper and lower directions. Each dielectric waveguide includes a dielectric layer formed of a dielectric substance, two conductive layers formed to sandwich the dielectric layer, and two quasi-conductive walls. An electrostatically actuated micro-mechanical switching device with movable elements formed in the bulk of a substrate for closing and releasing at least one Ohmic contact by a horizontal movement of the movable elements in a plane of the substrate. The switching device has a drive with comb-shaped electrodes including fixed driving electrodes and movable electrodes. A movable push rod is mechanically connected with the movable electrodes, extends through the electrodes, has a movable contact element at one side, and at least one restoring spring. A signal line has two parts interrupted by a gap. The micro-mechanical switching device is in shunt-configuration with low loss, high isolation in a wide frequency range, low switching time at low actuation voltage and sufficient reliability. The line impedance of the signal line and its variation is as small as possible. The switching device is in shunt-configuration for closing and releasing the Ohmic contact between a ground line and the signal line. The contact element has a movable contact beam extending at least partially opposite to the signal line and being electrically and mechanically connected to both parts of the signal line, respectively. The ground line is formed with a contact bar that leads through the gap of the signal line for forming the Ohmic contact between the contact beam and the ground line. A contact metallization is provided at least on top and on the side walls of the contact beam, of the signal line and of the ground line.

Electrostatically actuated micro-mechanical switching device

A small high frequency device that is able to inhibit generation of an eddy current and a parasitic capacity and shows superior high frequency characteristics is provided. The high frequency device includes: a substrate having a depression; a dielectric layer over the substrate; and a plurality of electronic devices which are provided in the dielectric layer or on the dielectric layer, and at least one of which is opposed to the depression.
