A light emitting sealed body includes: a housing which stores a discharge gas and is provided with a first opening to which first light is incident along a first optical axis and a second opening from which second light is emitted along a second optical axis; a first window portion which hermetically seals the first opening; and a second window portion which hermetically seals the second opening. The housing is formed of a light shielding material which does not transmit the first light and the second light. An internal space is defined by the housing, the first window portion, and the second window portion and the internal space is filled with the discharge gas. The first opening and the second opening are disposed so that the first optical axis and the second optical axis intersect each other.

Light emitting sealed body and light source device

A light emitting sealed body includes a housing which stores a discharge gas in an internal space and is provided with a first window portion to which first light is incident and a second window portion from which second light is emitted. The housing includes at least one flow path which is partitioned from the internal space and extends toward at least one of the first window portion and the second window portion.

Light emitting sealed body, light source device, and method for driving light emitting sealed body

A light emitting unit includes a light emitting sealed body and a voltage application circuit. The light emitting sealed body includes a container to which laser light for maintaining plasma is incident and from which light from the plasma is emitted, a first electrode which includes a first discharge portion, and a second electrode which includes a second discharge portion. An end portion of the first discharge portion has a shape in which a thickness is thinned as it goes toward the second discharge portion and an end surface of the second discharge portion extends along a plane perpendicular to an extending direction of the first discharge portion. The voltage application circuit controls a potential difference between the first electrode and the second electrode by adjusting a voltage applied to at least the first electrode.

Light emitting unit and light source device

An electron multiplier includes an insulating substrate which includes an electrical wiring pattern and in which a through-hole is formed, an MCP arranged on one side of the through-hole of the insulating substrate and electrically connected to the electrical wiring pattern, a shield plate arranged in one side of the MCP and electrically connected to the MCP, an anode arranged on the other side of the through-hole and electrically connected to the electrical wiring pattern, and a signal readout terminal fixed to the insulating substrate for reading a signal from the anode. The shield plate is formed to include the MCP when viewed in a thickness direction. A through-hole exposing at least a portion of the MCP is formed in the shield plate. The insulating substrate, the MCP, the shield plate and the anode are fixed to each other to be integral.

Electron multiplier

An MCP has a rectangular plate shape and has a porous part, to which a plurality of pores (channels) penetrating in the thickness direction are disposed, and a poreless part including a solid glass or the like to which the channels are not provided on the both sides of the porous part. Then, on both surfaces of the MCP, an input side electrode and an output side electrode are respectively formed so as to cover the poreless parts on the both surfaces while sandwiching the porous part.

Micro channel plate

A mass spectrometer that allows easy replacement of an MCP (microchannel plate) and is enabled to secure orthogonality between an incident surface of the MCP and an ion track at high accuracy is provided. A flight tubewhere ions fly is arranged in a vacuum vessel composed of a vacuum flangeand a body, and an MCP groupis attached to a tail end of the flight tubevia an MCP-IN electrode. A vacuum flangeis attachably and detachably attached to the body, and the MCP group, by a springprovided on a circuit boardfor detection attached to the vacuum flange, is urged toward an end portion of the flight tubeso that its orthogonality with respect to an ion flight track is secured.

In a charged particle detecting apparatusfor which an MCP is sandwiched with an IN electrodeand an OUT electrode and an anode electrode and a rear cover are installed therebehind, the component members in the rear of the IN electrodeare arranged further inside than the IN electrodewhen viewed from an MCP incident surface, and the charged particle detecting apparatusis fixed by screwing and the like to a cabinet wall surfaceof a TOF-MS by using a flange portion provided at a part of IN electrodeprojected further outside than the rear component members.

Time of flight mass spectrometer and charged particle detector therefor

An electron multiplier that can easily obtain characteristics according to a purpose is provided. By bonding a marginal portionof an MCPand a marginal portionof an MCPto each other via a conductive spacer layer, a gapis formed between channel portions. Therefore, when the electron multiplier is used for a purpose that requires a particularly high gain, by adjusting the thickness of the spacer layer, the gain can be increased by increasing the gap. In addition, when the electron multiplier is used for a purpose that requires an increase in gain as well as time characteristics, by adjusting the thickness of the spacer layer, the size of the gapcan be adjusted so that desired characteristics are obtained. Consequently, by only adjusting the thickness of the spacer layer, characteristics according to the purpose can be easily obtained.

Electron multipler and electron detector

In an MCP assemblyhaving one or a plurality of MCPssandwiched with an input-side electrodeand an output-side electrode, there provided at the surface facing the MCPof at least either (preferably, both) of the input-side electrodeand the output-side electrode, is a substantially annular contact face that contacts the MCP surface to fix the same, and there provided at a periphery of the contact face is a separation surface retracted in a direction to be separated from the MCP surface. Thereby, provided is an MCP assembly having a construction enabled to prevent damage to the MCP in manufacturing and handling.

Micro channel plate assembly

The present invention relates to a charged-particle detecting apparatus having a structure which enables adjustment of a potential distribution so as to stably maintain flight loci of charged particles without depending on a change in a voltage-applied state. The charged-particle detecting apparatus comprises a first electrode, an MCP, a second electrode, a third electrode that functions as an anode, and a rear cover arranged in order along a predetermined reference axis. The third electrode is arranged on the opposite side of the MCP with respect to the second electrode, and is electrically connected to an output signal part via a capacitor. In particular, the first electrode is arranged so as to become a part of the outer surface of the charged-particle detecting apparatus, and components positioned between the first electrode and the rear cover have contours with section sizes equal to or smaller than that of the contour of the first electrode when viewed from the first electrode side toward the rear cover.
