Method of producing transmissive screens

A display tube assembly is provided, in which plug pins are mounted on a printed circuit board, this printed circuit board having the plug pins soldered thereto is attached to a display tube and the display tube is accommodated in a case thereby being made watertight. According to this arrangement, the plug pins, the printed circuit board and the display tube are coupled together in the outside of the case so that a working property in the assembly process can be improved considerably. Further, since a window portion is not provided at the rear surface of the case, the reliability in the watertight process in the display tube can be improved considerably.

A method of producing a resin mold that includes the steps of pouring a first resin into a metal mold, curing the first resin at a first temperature thereby making an intermediate resin mold made of the first resin, separating the intermediate resin mold from the metal mold, pouring a second resin into the intermediate resin mold, curing the second resin at a second temperature thereby making a final resin mold made of the second resin and separating the final resin mold from the intermediate resin mold, wherein by selecting the first and second curing temperatures of the first and second resins, the final resin mold will have the same size as that of the metal mold.

Method of producing a resin mold for rear projection screen

An electron beam indicator, for example, for a large-screen display which has a two-dimensional arrangement of a plurality of electron beam indicators. The electron beam indicator tube comprises fluorescent trios each of which have a plurality of fluorescent layers which function as picture elements, and a plurality of linear cathodes which are disposed respectively opposite to the fluorescent layers of the fluorescent trios. A common accelerating electrode is disposed between the fluorescent trios and control electrodes, and a separator structure is disposed so as to shield the fluorescent layers of each fluorescent trio. The common accelerating electrode is curved in the direction which the linear cathodes extend in a convex shape which bulged outwardly toward the fluorescent layers, and is formed so that the width of the electron beam transmission apertures decreases from the central portion toward the opposite ends. The electron beam which impinge on the separators of the separator structure are cut off by the accelerating electrode to which a low voltage is applied and hence the reactive current is reduced and luminous efficiency of the fluorescent layers is improved and the power consumption is reduced.

A fluorescent display apparatus includes display cells of a first type consisting of several sets of fluorescent display segments of various colors arranged in a certain order and display cells of a second type consisting of display segments equal in number and color, but opposite in the order of arrangement of colors, to the first display cells. The first and second display cells are arrayed in a matrix fashion with their lead lines aligning alternately with the intention of reducing areas used for the bend of lead lines and thereby arranging the cells closely so as to enhance the resolution of display.

Fluorescent display apparatus

A luminescent display tube wherein a plurality of luminescent trios and a plurality of electrode units corresponding thereto are disposed opposite to each other in a single housing, and a member forming an enclosure of each electrode unit functions also as an accelerating electrode. The invention realizes a high-luminance display tube or display cell of a small-sized structure which incorporates a plurality of luminescent trios serving as picture elements and electrode units corresponding thereto. Consequently, it becomes possible to construct a large-picture display apparatus of moderate dimensions by arraying a multiplicity of such display cells. Furthermore, a plurality of wire cathodes and first grids as well as a common second grid are grouped into an electrode unit with its enclosure functioning as the second grid, and such electrode units are arrayed correspondingly to individual luminescent trios, thereby facilitating assembly and manufacture of a desired display cell. In the electrode units constituting the display cell, each of the first grids is positioned and set by an insulator substrate and a pair of insulator walls in each unit, without any other means such as spot welding, so that the electrode unit can be produced in a sufficiently small structure, hence ensuring remarkable facility in assembly and manufacture of such small-sized display cell.

Light source display for a large picture screen

A luminescent display cell comprising a glass envelope having a front panel, a side wall, and a rear plate. Plural luminescent display segments are formed on the front panel of the glass envelope, the display segments being supplied with an anode voltage. Plural cathodes are arranged on the rear panel side of the glass envelope in corresponding relation to the display segments. Plural control grid electrodes are arranged between the display segments and the cathodes in corresponding relation to the display segments. A common accelerating electrode is disposed between the display segments and the control grid electrodes. The voltage applied to each control grid electrode is controllable for electron emission from the cathodes so as to render each display segment corresponding to each control grid electrode selectively luminous for display. Furthermore, a separator surrounds each display segment and it is supplied with the above anode voltage so that diffusion lens is formed which allows the electron beam from the cathode to be spread laterally and radiated to the entire surface of the display segment to be rendered luminous.

A golf club head having a face portion for striking a ball, the face portion being formed by a complex block comprising a plurality of ceramic plates and layers of glass fibers or carbon fibers laminated alternately. By such a complex construction, the sweet spot and the center of gravity distribution as well as the hardness and roughness of a ball striking surface can be changed as desired.

An image display apparatus includes an image display screen which is formed by a plurality of picture display elements arranged repeatedly with a predetermined pitch for displaying an image as a set of plural picture elements. In this case, one or more double refraction plates are disposed in front of the image display screen so that light rays from the picture display elements are double-refracted by each double refraction plate and that the density of the picture display elements is increased apparently. Thus, in a color cathode ray tube in which a phosphor face is formed by color phosphors arranged in a stripe pattern, it is possible to reduce the coarseness of the texture of the color phosphor stripe.

A television receiver of projection type including a color cathode ray tube having a phosphor face forming a color phosphor pattern, a projection screen, a projection lens for projecting an image on the cathode ray tube on the projection screen, and a prism plate having a plurality of prisms disposed in front of the color cathode ray tube for splitting a light path from the color cathode ray tube so as to shift the images relative to each other by a predetermined distance on the projection screen, wherein the inclination angle of each prism of the prism plate is selected different between at central portion and at peripheral portion.

An improved means for incorporating an electron gun and stem assembly into the neck of a cathode ray tube wherein the stem is engaged with a metal collar while providing a groove therebetween, a thermally insulating fusible adhesive having an initial melting point lower than that of the stem is introduced into the groove, an end portion of the neck of the cathode ray tube is inserted into the groove, and the entire assembly is bonded together by means of fusion of the thermally insulating adhesive.

Method of fixing an electron gun assembly into the neck of a cathode ray

A flat cathode ray tube is disclosed in which the deflection of an electron beam in the direction which requires a large deflection angle is carried out by the electromagnetic deflection, while the deflection of the electron beam in the direction which requires a small deflection angle is carried out by electrostatic deflection. Further, in the evacuated envelope of the flat cathode ray tube, there is located a high magnetic permeability body to concentrate the magnetic flux on the electron beam necessary for the electromagnetic deflection. In a certain case, a magnetic material body with the electrical conductivity is used as the high magnetic permeability body so as to provide it with the function of serving as an electrode plate for the electrostatic deflection of the electron beam.

In a grid structure for a color picture tube of the type comprised of a pair of elongated frame elements disposed in substantially parallel, spaced apart relation at the top and bottom, respectively, of the grid structure, a pair of mechanically resilient brace members having mid-portions extending between the frame elements at the opposite sides of the grid structure and end portions affixed to the frame elements for maintaining the latter in their spaced apart relation, and a plurality of grid wires defining slits therebetween extending between the frame elements and being welded or otherwise affixed to the latter adjacent the opposite ends of the grid wires while the grid wires are longitudinally tensioned and the brace members are prestressed by forces acting on the frame elements in the directions to urge the frame elements toward each other; each brace member has a cross-sectional shape, such as, a rectangular shape, providing different section moduli in respect to correspondingly different axes passing through the centroid of the cross-sectional shape, and the mid-portion of each brace member is disposed so that an axis of the cross-sectional shape thereof which passes through the centroid at right angles to the axis about which there is a maximum section modulus is disposed in a plane containing the lines of action of the forces which act on the frame elements at predetermined points adjacent the respective end portions of the frame elements, for example, the points at which forces are applied to the frame elements for prestressing the brace members during the affixing of the grid wires to the frame elements.
