A fixing device includes a heating member, a detector, a holding member, and a biasing member. The heating member is configured to transport a recording medium while nipping the recording medium with a pressure member, so as to fix a toner image onto the recording medium. The detector is configured to measure a temperature of the heating member. The holding member holds the detector. The biasing member biases the holding member so as to bring the detector into contact with a surface of the heating member.

Fixing device and image forming apparatus

A fixing device includes a fixing unit having heat sources each extending in a longitudinal direction thereinside, and sensors that measure a surface temperature of the fixing unit. The heat sources are provided at different positions in a projection diagram of the fixing device seen in a rotational-axis direction of the fixing unit. A first measurement position for a first sensor is different in the peripheral direction from a second measurement position for a second sensor. A sum of a first distance between the first measurement position and a first heat source nearest to the first measurement position and a second distance between the second measurement position and a second heat source nearest to the second measurement position is smaller than a sum of the first and second distances in a case where the second measurement position coincides with the first measurement position in the peripheral direction.

A fixing device includes a rotary member, a heating member provided inside the rotary member, supply parts that supply power to the heating member, cover parts that cover the supply parts, and fixing members that fix the rotary member in an axial direction. The cover parts have a restriction part that restricts movement of the rotary member in the axial direction.

A fixing device includes a heating member that heats a recording medium having an image while transporting the recording medium by rotating; a measuring member that measures a temperature of the heating member and includes a body member, and a cantilever member whose base end is fixed to the body member and whose free end is in contact with the heating member; and a supporting member that supports the measuring member and includes a contact portion, the contact portion being in contact with a base portion of the cantilever member.

An image forming apparatus includes: an image forming apparatus main body; a cover provided openably/closably with respect to the image forming apparatus main body; a conveyance passage, formed in the image forming apparatus main body, on which a recording medium is conveyed; a detection device that detects movement of the recording medium conveyed on the conveyance passage; a first recording medium guide member provided oppositely to the moving member and fixed when the cover is closed; and a second recording medium guide member, provided on a downstream side of and following the first recording medium guide member in a recording medium conveyance direction, that movably guides the conveyed recording medium.
