The object of the present invention is to provide an inkjet recording ink ensuring excellent ejection stability even after aging of the ink and also exhibiting excellent weather resistance; provide an inkjet recording ink ensuring less blurring of the image drawn, in addition to excellent ejection stability and weather resistance; and provide a yellow ink and a dark yellow ink, which can contribute to realization of a pictorial quality with excellent color balance as a constituent ink of an ink set. These objects of the present invention can be achieved by an inkjet recording ink including an aqueous medium containing a yellow dye, particularly, a yellow dye represented by formula (1), having spectral absorption characteristics such that the maximum absorption wavelength is in the region from 390 to 470 nm and the absorption long-wave end has a tailing of a specified value or less, and antioxidative characteristics such that the ozone enforced discoloration rate constant is 5.0 x 10[hour] or less. Furthermore, when the ink contains a diamino compound represented by formula (A), a carbonyl group (or sulfo group or the like)-containing cyclic compound represented by formula (B) and an organic solvent having a specific structure, the effect of the present invention is enhanced.

Inkjet recording ink and method of inkjet recording

An inkjet recording ink including an aqueous medium having dissolved therein a phthalocyanine dye, wherein the phthalocyanine dye is a water-soluble dye having an oxidation potential more positive than 1.0 V (vs SCE) and the ink includes a water-miscible organic solvent having a vapor pressure of 2,000 Pa or less at 20&#xb0; C.; and an inkjet recording method using the ink.

An inkjet recording ink including an aqueous medium having dissolved or dispersed therein a magenta dye selected from azo dyes, wherein the magenta dye is a dye having an oxidation potential more positive than 1.0 V (vs SCE) and at the same time, a water-miscible organic solvent having a vapor pressure of 2,000 Pa or less at 20&#xb0; C. is contained; and an inkjet recording method using the ink. By virtue of such a constitution, an inkjet recording ink and an inkjet recording method are provided, which can ensure high ejection stability, good color hue of the obtained image, no drying of the ink at the ink jet head, excellent fastness to light and water, image quality free from defective such as fineline bleeding under high-humidity condition, and good preservability of the image under severe conditions, and furthermore can ensure high storability and high ejection stability even after aging for a long time or under severe conditions.

The present invention provides an ink for ink jet recording, in which the formation of a high-quality image is possible, image keeping quality is excellent, the ink is not dried at an ink jet head, and ejection stability is high, wherein the ink for ink jet recording comprises: at least one dye having a specific structure, in which the at least one dye is dissolved or dispersed in an aqueous medium; and a betaine surfactant, wherein, when the ink has been shaken 30 times or more for 10 seconds and allowed to stand for 3 minutes, a bubble height in the ink is 30 mm or less.

In order to transfer a transfer recording layer in a transfer medium onto the surface of a receptor , a solution that lowers the transfer temperature or a sticky solution is applied image-wise to the surface of either the transfer recording layer or the receptor so as to form a latent image; then, whichever of the transfer medium or the receptor that have the latent image formed thereon or both are heated by a thermal drying means to evaporate at least a portion of the solvent contained in the formed latent image; subsequently, the transfer medium and the receptor are heated, with the surface of the transfer recording layer in intimate contact with that of the receptor , so that the transfer recording layer in areas corresponding to the ones where the latent image has been formed is transferred onto the receptor .

Image forming method and apparatus

An image forming method which widens the range of materials usable for an image forming method that employs an ink-jet technique and yields an image with high image quality and high homogeneity. An image pattern forming material containing an adhesive material is discharged onto a transfer layer surface of an image transfer material or onto an image receiving layer surface of an image receiving material, and the image pattern forming material is formed in an image pattern. The transfer layer surface of the image transfer material is closely contacted with the image receiving layer surface of the image receiving material. The image transfer material is peeled off from the image receiving material and portions of the transfer layer are stripped off in an image pattern from the image transfer material by the image pattern forming material. Thus, the image is formed on the image receiving material.

Image forming method

An image forming process including the steps of: (a) providing an image transfer material having a transfer recording layer formed from a heat transfer material and an image receiving sheet; (b) image-wisely applying a transferability promoting material to one of the heat transfer material and the image receiving sheet to form a latent image; and (c) applying pressure and heat to the image transfer material to form an image on the image receiving material from the latent image.

A desensitizer composition containing the amidine derivative shown by following general formula can be effectively used for partially desensitizing a developer sheet of pressure-sensitive copying papers using diphenylamine series color formers: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, or an aryl group having 6 to 20 carbon atoms; R.sub.2 is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, an aryl group having 6 to 20 carbon atoms, an amino group, or an alkylthio group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms; and n is an integer of 2 to 6; said R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 may have a substituent and when both R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are an alkyl group, at least one of R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 is an alkyl group having a substituent.

A pressure-sensitive recording material is described comprising a base paper having a surface of pH of at least 6.0 and having coated thereon microcapsules containing a benzhydrylsulfone type color former solution.

A color developer containing a combination of zinc oxide, at least one salicylic acid or nuclear substituted salicylic acid, and at least one metal silicate as an inorganic pigment, and a recording unit having a layer of the color developer. The color developer has a high developing ability and is capable of forming a distinct color having a high light resistance when it is contacted with a color former.

A desensitizer composition for color developing agents which color upon reaction with colorless compounds comprising an adduct of an amine represented by the following general formula (I) with one or more alkylene oxides, said one or more alkylene oxides comprising at least 40 mole % butylene oxide: ##STR1## wherein R represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group, m represents zero or an integer from 1 to 8, and n represents an integer from 1 to 12. A method of using the same is also disclosed.
