A method for producing a slider for an optical head includes a slider member adapted for floating and running over a recording medium during recording and/or reproduction of information signals for the recording medium. An optical lens is bonded to the slider member and a magnetic field generator provided on a surface of the slider member carrying the optical lens facing the recording medium. A first step is forming a groove presenting a bottom surface inclined in the depth-wise direction by ejecting a polishing agent dispersed in a compressed gas on a substrate. A second step is charging an electrically conductive material, which proves a terminal electrically connected to the magnetic field generator in the inside of the groove formed in the substrate. A third step is cutting the substrate in the vicinity of an end of the groove to form a plurality of individual slider members.

Method for producing a slider for an optical head

A slider for an optical head for signal recording and/or reproduction on or from a recording medium which, even if reduced in size, assures optimum signal recording and/or reproduction on or from a recording medium, and which may be produced readily. The slider for the optical head includes a slider member for floating and running over a recording medium during recording and/or reproduction of information signals for the recording medium, an optical lens bonded to the slider member and a magnetic field generating unit provided on a surface of the slider member carrying the optical lens facing the recording medium. The slider member is formed with a terminal groove opened in a its surface facing the recording medium and in its lateral surface, with an electrically conductive material being charged in the terminal groove. The electrically conductive material charged forms a terminal electrically connected to the magnetic field generating unit. One end of the terminal faces to outside of the slider member from a lateral surface of the slider member.

Recording/reproducing information signals to/from a recording medium appropriately even though the clearance from the signal recording surface of the recording medium to an optical head slider becomes significantly small. An optical head slider includes a sliding member which is floated and slides on a recording medium at the time of recording/reproducing signals to/from the recording medium , a hemispheric objective lens which is bonded to the sliding member , and a magnetic field generating means , which is mounted to the bottom of the sliding member which faces the recording medium . The sliding member is made of the same material as that of the optical lens , and a flat surface of the optical lens is bonded to the top surface of the sliding member

A powder beam working system for working a surface to be worked of an object to be worked by dispersing fine particles in high-pressure gas and projecting a solid-gas two-phase flow thus produced to the surface of the object to be worked which comprises means which temporarily stores the fine particles, a dispersing chamber which forms a portion of a flow path for the high-pressure gas and sending means which sends out the fine particles stored in the storing means into the dispersing chamber at a predetermined rate as the fine particles are in a solid phase state, thereby being capable of adjusting a flow rate of the produced solid-gas two-phase flow and an amount of the fine particles contained in the solid-gas two-phase flow easily and individually.

This invention relates to a method for manufacturing a flat display panel device suitable for being applied to a plasma display panel and the like. In the method comprising forming a barrier-ridge-forming layer over a whole surface of a substrate having an electrode pattern, then removing from barrier-ridge-forming layer the unnecessary portions by jetting an abrasive, so as to form a barrier ridge, and further filling the removed portions with fluorescent paste layer and removing from fluorescent paste layer the unnecessary portions by jetting the abrasive until a given discharge space can be kept. Organic material particles coated with an inorganic material are used as the abrasive for removing the barrier-ridge-forming layer and/or the fluorescent paste layer. By coating the organic material with the inorganic material, the abrasive particles become roundish. Thus, even if these are used as the abrasive, it is not feared that they injury the surfaces of the glass substrate and the address electrode.

Method for manufacturing a flat display panel device

A surface processing method by blowing submicron particles is disclosed, in which submicron particles are blown against a surface of a work to deposit a layer of the material of the particles on a surface of the work, or etching the surface of the work. The processing method uses blowing air stream containing submicron particles having average particles size ranging between 0.01 and 3.0 .mu.m. The deposition or etching is effected depending on an incident angle of the particles to the surface of work. According to the method deposition of the material can be effected with very high deposition rate and in case of etching very smooth etched surface is obtained.

A method of manufacturing a floating magnetic head device includes forming a pedestal on a substrate by positioning and adhering a plurality of blocks each having a plurality magnetic head elements, on the substrate in a manner that the magnetic gaps between the magnetic head elements are linearly arrayed and so the blocks are parallel and equidistantly spaced. A resist mask having a predetermined slider surface shape is formed on the blocks and injection of a solid/gaseous two-phase current of free abrasive grains and gas is carried out through an injection nozzle. The pedestal is then sliced into individual slider units.

In a powder beam etching method, a nozzle for injecting fine particles and a work are moved relative to each other in two perpendicular directions, viz., a scanning direction and a feed pitch direction during each scanning motion. During each return scanning motion the path followed is arranged to fall in between the path of the preceding forward motion.

A multilayer wiring board and a method for manufacturing the same are disclosed. The wiring board comprises an insulating substrate having a first and second conductor layers formed on major surfaces of the insulating substrate, a blind hole formed through the first conductor layer and the insulating substrate to expose the second conductor layer at the bottom of the blind hole, and a connecting conductor provided to cover the exposed surface of the second conductor layer wall portion of the blind hole and the first conductor layer. Since the connecting conductor and the second conductor are made in surface contact, connection reliability is very much improved. The blind hole is made by blasting a fine abrasive powder beam to selectively remove the insulating substrate. The end of selective removal can be easily controlled by the difference of working speed against the insulating substrate and the conductor layer to successfully expose the second conductor layer at the bottom of the blind hole.

Method for manufacturing a multilayer wiring board

A method for manufacturing a magnetic transducer head in which a track width regulating grooves provided on both edges of a magnetic gap are filled by blowing a powder beam of nonmagnetic material having a very fine particle size to deposit the nonmagnetic material in the grooves. A pair of magnetic core members are bonded together to form a magnetic gap therebetween by providing a metal layer of a bonding surface of the core members and applying a pressure to the core members under an elevated temperature to cause a mutual diffusion of the metal to bond the core members together. Thus the magnetic transducer head can be made without using a high-temperature heat treatment.

Method for manufacturing a magnetic transducer head

A complex magnetic transducer head with a single magnetic pole includes a recording and reproducing main magnetic pole made of a thin film of soft magnetic material with a predetermined width and in contact with a magnetic recording medium. A non-magnetic guard member is adjacent each side of the recording and reproducing main magnetic pole and a magnetic core portion is integrated with each guard member. Grooves are formed in the magnetic core portion for separating a first auxiliary magnetic pole portion in contact with the recording and reproducing main magnetic pole from a magnetic flux return path portion. The winding is wound around the recording reproducing main magnetic pole through the grooves. An erasing head portion having a pair of erasing main magnetic poles faces the magnetic record medium and is spaced from the recording and reproducing main magnetic pole by a predetermined distance along the running direction of the magnetic record medium, and the pair of erasing main magnetic poles are spaced apart in a direction transverse to the running direction by a distance smaller than the width of the recording and reproducing main magnetic pole. A erasing winding is provided for exciting the erasing main magnetic poles. Previously recorded data on the magnetic record medium is erased, despite small displacements which may occur between the previously recorded track on the magnetic record medium and the recording and reproducing main magnetic pole.
