An electromagnetic shield connector is provided with a terminal-equipped shielded cable formed by mounting a terminal on an end of a shielded cable, an insulating inner housing including a first terminal fitting opening and a first wire insertion opening and configured to accommodate the terminal of the terminal-equipped shielded cable, a shield sleeve to be connected to a shield member of the shielded cable on the shielded cable and to be externally mounted on the shielded cable further on the side of the shielded cable than the terminal, an outer housing made of conductive metal, including a second terminal fitting opening and a second wire insertion opening, configured to accommodate the inner housing and to be connected to the shield sleeve, and a grounding portion provided on the outer housing and connectable to an external grounding member.

Electromagnetic shield connector

A terminal () of a connector () includes a case () and a first conductive member (). The first conductive member () includes a junction () for connection with a mating terminal. The junction () is movable in the compression direction (Y) in which the coil spring () is compressed. The case () is composed of metal and includes a front wall () bent at a front end (A) of the top wall () toward the first conductive member. The front wall () is at such a distance from the coil spring () that movement of the first conductive member () in the compression direction (Y) is not prevented. The front wall () includes a support () that supports one end () of the first conductive member on the front wall side, the one end () being movable in the compression direction (Y) at the support when the junction moves.

A wire harness including: an electric wire that includes a core wire and a covering material that covers the core wire; a connector that is attached to an end of the electric wire; and a seal that is interposed between the electric wire and the connector, wherein: the covering material includes a thin portion, which is thinner than other portions of the covering material, at a portion overlapping the seal in a radial direction, the covering material includes a distal-end non-thin portion and a proximal-end non-thin portion on two sides of the thin portion in a longitudinal direction, a first annular stepped surface is formed between the thin portion and the distal-end non-thin portion, and a second annular stepped surface is formed between the thin portion and the proximal-end non-thin portion.

Wire harness seal

A large-current terminal () includes a male terminal () having a male-side contact surface (), a female terminal () having a female-side contact surface (), a coil spring () including male-side contacts () for contacting the male-side contact surface () and female-side contacts () for contacting the female-side contact surface (). A spring holder () holds the coils spring () and includes male-side and female-side openings () for exposing the male-side and female-side contacts (). The coil spring () is compressed in a facing direction of the contact surfaces () by disposing the male-side contact surface () to face both the female-side contact surface () and the male-side openings () with the female-side contact surface () directed toward the female-side openings (). The spring holder () is movable such that the female-side opening () approaches the female-side contact surface () as the coil spring () is compressed.

Large current terminal and connector

A terminal module includes an electrical contact having a body () configured to face a butting portion () on a mating terminal, oriented such that a coil axis (P) is parallel to the body () of the electrical contact member and configured to be sandwiched between the mating terminal and the electrical contact () to be tilted toward the coil axis (P) when the mating terminal and the electrical contact () approach. At least one of a facing surface () on the body () of the electrical contact () on which the obliquely wound coil spring () slides and a contact surface () on the butting portion () of the mating terminal on which the obliquely wound coil spring () slides is formed into an uneven surface for increasing frictional resistance during sliding.

Connector

A connector (C) includes a flat terminal (), an obliquely wound coil spring () wound around a winding axis (A) that is parallel to the terminal () with the coil spring () sandwiched between the terminal () and a flat mating terminal (). A connector housing () accommodates the terminal () and the coil spring () and includes an insertion path () for the mating terminal () to be parallel to the terminal (). A rotation restricting portion () is in the connector housing () and restricts the coil spring () in a rotation posture to tilt with respect to the winding axis (A) such that a mating terminal side of a half-turn winding plane and a straight line connecting a start point (P) and an end point (P) of the half turn is on a back side in an inserting direction of the mating terminal ().

A terminal module () includes an electrical contact member () having a coil holding surface (F) configured to face a contact surface (F) provided on a mating terminal (), a conductive obliquely wound coil spring () and a holder () configured to hold the obliquely wound coil spring () by being assembled with the electrical contact member (). The holder () includes a holder body () configured to hold the obliquely wound coil spring () along the coil holding surface (F) and having a window portion () configured to expose the obliquely wound coil spring () toward a side opposite to the coil holding surface (F), and locking pieces () continuous from the holder body () and configured to engage the electrical contact member ().

A terminal fitting () includes a metal case () having an opening (A) through which a mating contact point () is inserted, a coil spring () accommodated in the metal case (), and an electrical contact () biased toward the opening (A) by the coil spring () and configured to move while compressing the coil spring () by being pressed by the mating contact point (). The metal case () includes a first guide (parts at both front and rear sides of an opening () in a front wall () of the metal case ()) configured to guide the electrical contact () to a position shifted from a position before a movement in a direction orthogonal to an inserting direction of the mating contact point () by sliding in contact with the electrical contact () when the electrical contact () moves by being pressed by the mating contact point ().

A terminal fitting includes a case () provided with an opening () into which a mating contact () is inserted, and an electrical contact member () disposed in the case () to face the opening () and configured to retreat while rotating to compress a resilient member () by being biased toward the opening () and pressed against the mating contact () by the resilient member ().

Terminal fitting and connector

A connector () includes a terminal () and a housing (H) for accommodating the terminal. The terminal () includes a case () having a ceiling wall () and accommodated in the housing, a coil spring () accommodated inside the case while being compressed in a compression direction toward the ceiling wall of the case, and a first conductive member () having a contact portion () with a mating terminal and sandwiched between one end () of the coil spring and an inner wall of the case, the contact portion being movable in the compression direction to further compress the coil spring. The case () is made of a metal material.
