A preamplifier amplifies signals input to first and second input terminals. A first switching circuit receives first and second input signals and respectively outputs those signals to the first and second input terminals. A switched capacitor circuit samples two signals amplified by the preamplifier. An integration circuit includes a fully differential operational amplifier outputting amplifying differential signals input between third and fourth input terminals between second and first output terminals, and first and second integration capacitors. A second switching circuit switches a connection relationship between the switched capacitor circuit, and the first and second integration capacitors. A third switching circuit switches a connection relationship between the first and second integration capacitors, and third and fourth output terminals. A cycle including sampling and signal integration is performed twice, and the first to third switching circuits switch the connection relationships each time the cycle changes.

Front-end circuit and encoder

An object is to respectively excite transmission coils with different voltages using a single power supply with low power consumption in an electromagnetic induction type encoder. A detection head of an encoder includes a voltage adjustment circuit and a plurality of excitation circuits. The excitation circuit includes a resonant circuit that includes a driving capacitor and a transmission coil connected in series and generates an alternate-current magnetic field inducing currents in scale coils disposed in a plurality of scale tracks on a scale by connecting both ends of the resonant circuit in a state in which the driving capacitor is charged. The voltage adjustment circuit includes a first transformer capacitor and controls a charging voltage of the driving capacitor in a single excitation circuit using the charged first transformer capacitor.

The cycle processing unit converts an analog input signal into a digital signal having a plurality of bits by performing a plurality of cycle processing on the analog input signal to acquire values of each bit in order from a higher-order bit to a lower-order bit. The control unit controls the cycle processing unit such that a period of the cycle processing is shortened according to a cycled number of the cycle processing.

A semiconductor integrated circuit includes a regulator configured to stabilize a power supply voltage from a solar cell and to output the same, a voltage detection circuit configured to detect the power supply voltage from the solar cell or an output voltage from the regulator, a power-on-reset circuit configured to output a reset signal to an external digital circuit by a voltage detection signal output from the voltage detection circuit, a memory main body configured to write and read data by the power supply voltage from the solar cell or the output voltage from the regulator.

An alarm apparatus for alarming a driver of a vehicle is provided. The alarm apparatus includes a first indicator disposed on a front center console inside the vehicle, a second indicator located in a windshield of the vehicle, a radar unit, a vehicle speed sensor and a controller. In operation, when a distance between the vehicle and the one ahead is less than a first alarm distance, the first indicator is activated to display the alarm. Further, when the distance is less than a second alarm distance smaller than the first alarm distance, the second indicator is activated to display the alarm. Even if the driver does not gaze ahead but the instruments, it is possible for the driver to look at the first indicator activated more frequency than the second indicator, thereafter shift his eyes ahead and finally brake the vehicle after confirming the preceding vehicle with composure.

Alarm apparatus for alarming driver of vehicle and method of alarming

A system and method for communicating a vehicle with a calling party are disclosed in which even when a communication circuit is interrupted during a data communication of the system with the calling party such as a base station due to a worse circuit condition, the calling from the system to the calling party is carried out without operation of a switch for activating the system to start calling so that the communication with the calling party is restarted. The communication data includes a vehicle identification code (ID information) and/or instantaneous position of the vehicle.

System and method for communicating a vehicle with a calling party

The diagnostic device comprises voltage divider resistors, two comparators, a start switch, a microcomputer, two transistors, and two light emitting diodes. The ignition signal is voltage-divided by the voltage divider resistors, and the result of this voltage division is input into the positive terminals of the comparators. Reference voltages are input to the negative terminals of the comparators which determine how high the inputs to the positive terminals must be for each comparator to have an 'H' level output. When the start switch is turned ON the device starts to operate. In the microcomputer, which has a timer function built in, the interrupt terminal (INT) becomes connected to the output terminal of the comparator; the reset terminal (RES) becomes connected to the start switch. In addition, when the result of the diagnosis is normal, the output terminal OUT 1 of the microcomputer connected to the base of the transistor outputs a signal, while when the result of the diagnosis is abnormal, the output terminal OUT 2 connected to the base of the transistor outputs a signal. A light emitting diode of one color, for example green, is connected to the collector of the transistor, and lights up when the result of the diagnosis is normal, while a light emitting diode of another color, for example red, is connected to the collector of the other transistor, and lights up when the result of the diagnosis is abnormal.

Device for diagnosis of trouble in vehicle ignition devices

An ignition system for an internal combustion engine comprises a voltage boosting means which generates a high DC voltage by boosting a low DC voltage, a capacitor which charges the high DC voltage from the voltage boosting means, and ignition coil means having a secondary winding to which the high DC voltage is applied from the boosting means, wherein a high capacitive energy charged within the capacitor is supplied into one of spark plugs located within a corresponding engine cylinder in which a spark discharge has started and subsequently the output energy from the boosting means is supplied into that spark plug via the secondary winding of the ignition coil. Consequently, the ignition energy can sufficiently be supplied immediately after an ignition start to which a combustion characteristic is closely related and the complete combustion of air-fuel mixture can be achieved over the whole range of engine revolutional speed.

Ignition system for an internal combustion engine

There is provided an engine ignition device which generates a high voltage in the secondary windings of the ignition coil through switching on and off of the electric current flowing in the primary windings by means of an ignition circuit. The generated high voltage is impressed on the ignition plugs to initiate ignition, and, at the same time, the high voltage is boosted by a DC-DC converter connected to the secondary windings and is supplied continuously to the ignition plugs, to prolong the discharge duration. There is further provided a DC-DC converter controlling circuit to control the DC-DC converter to initiate ignition synchronous with the ignition signal output and also to reduce the operating time of the DC-DC converter as the engine increases its speed.
