A non-resonating type knock sensor for an internal combustion engine is disclosed which has an annular piezoelectric element secured within a case on which a connector is integrally formed to send a piezoelectric voltage signal generated from the piezoelectric element outside of the sensor. The piezoelectric element has a non-polarized portion at a position adjacent to the connector so that a vibration transmitted from the connector to the piezoelectric element does not substantially cause the piezoelectric element to generate an electrical output.

Non-resonating type knock sensor

A synthetic resin pen unit has a cylindrical outer annular member with inwardly extending bent and straight members. Each bent member has a base portion extending from the inner wall so that it is inclined with respect to a phantom line connecting the base of the bent member to the central axis of the cylindrical member. Ink grooves are formed between the inwardly extending members. The flexibility of the pan unit is a function of the percentage of bent members so that by proper selection and arrangement the pen characteristics can be optimized.

Synthetic resin pen unit

A synthetic resin pen unit has a cylindrical outer annular member with inwardly extending bent and straight members. Each bent member has a base portion extending from the inner wall so that it is inclined with respect to a phantom line connecting the base of the bent member to the central axis of the cylindrical member. Ink grooves are formed between the inwardly extending members. The flexibility of the pen unit is a function of the percentage of bent members so that by proper selection and arrangement the pen characteristics can be optimized.

A composite pen tip that comprises a core member inserted through a tubular casing to form an axial ink flow channel between the inner surface of the tubular casing and the core member. The core member is made of a material more wear-resistant than the tubular casing and the front ends of the core member and tubular casing are substantially flush with each other to form a level writing face. The tubular casing and the core member are curved in substantially the same form in at least one area in the axial direction and in substantially the same area so that said core member contacts the inner surface of said casing in the location of said curving and frictional contact thereat maintains said core front casing but permits said core to slide backward as said casing wears.

The present invention relates to a refractory materials used in processing molten metals comprising combining at least one of the refractory materials selected from the group consisting of SiO.sub.2, Al.sub.2 O.sub.3, MgO, ZrO.sub.2 with an activatable element for labeling which has an activation cross section of over 1 barnand apparatus made from a plurality of differently labeled refractory components.
