In a vehicle cam damper structure, a drive shaft includes a cam damper at a midway portion thereof. The cam damper integrates a cam reception portion with a cam via a shaft member. The cam reception portion is connected relatively rotatably with the shaft member. The cam and the shaft member, while being integrally rotatable, are connected with each other axially slidably. The shaft member includes an enlarged-diameter portion. An elastic member that presses the cam toward a side of the cam reception portion is disposed between the enlarged-diameter portion and the cam. An outer cylinder extends across the cam reception portion and the shaft member. A drive-side shaft and a driven-side shaft of the drive shaft are each connected with corresponding one of the cam reception portion and the shaft member.

A suspension structure for an irregular ground traveling vehicle includes an upper arm and a lower arm, a drive shaft, a boot, and an outer guard. The upper and lower arms each have one end portion supported on a vehicle body frame. The drive shaft is disposed between the upper arm and the lower arm and transmits a drive force to a wheel. The boot covers an end portion of the drive shaft on a wheel side. The outer guard member covers a front side of the boot. A brake line, which extends from a caliper, is arranged within a width of the wheel and below the upper arm, and the outer guard member extends to an area in the vicinity of the upper arm.

Suspension structure for irregular ground traveling vehicle

A front wheel suspension structure for a saddle-type vehicle (all terrain vehicle) includes a double wishbone suspension system. The double wishbone suspension system includes a pair of right and left upper arms and a pair of right and left lower arms. The upper arm and the lower arm each include a front arm portion and a rear arm portion, respectively, and each of the upper arm and the lower arm is attached to a side of a body frame at two points. When viewed in a side view, the rear arm portion of the upper arm is located in front of the rear arm portion of the lower arm. A front shock absorber is arranged behind the rear arm portion of the upper arm.

A rough terrain vehicle includes an electric motor that is disposed substantially orthogonal to a steering shaft with an engine and an exhaust pipe that are disposed behind the steering shaft and under a seat. A forced air cooling fan is provided for cooling the electric motor. The forced air cooling fan is provided behind the electric motor and in front of the engine or exhaust pipe.

A vehicle speed sensor mounting structure of a vehicle for supporting a vehicle speed sensor. The structure includes a vehicle body for suspending an engine. The engine output is transmitted through a final reduction gear to wheels via an axle. A vehicle speed sensor is mounted on the final reduction gear for detecting rotational speed of a final gear of the final reduction gear, thereby detecting the vehicle speed. The vehicle speed sensor is disposed higher than the center of the axle and near to the outside of the vehicle (vehicle front part) with respect to the center of the axle. With this configuration, flexibility in the mounting of a vehicle speed sensor can be increased and a separate member for protecting the vehicle speed sensor can be omitted. Thus, the number of parts required in the mounting structure can be reduced.

A recess is formed on the side surface of output-side cams on the right side with through holes being formed on the sidewall of the case body of the differential case at positions corresponding to the recesses. An annular member is placed on the case body so as to be capable of moving, and projections are provided on the annular member so that they can be inserted into and pulled out of the recess via the through hole. The differential case and the right side output cam are rigidly joined by inserting the projection into the recess on the right side output cam through the through hole and thus the input-side block is not operated. Therefore, a power force is not transmitted to the left side output cam, and thus the differential function of the left and right drive wheels can be suspended.

Differential gear

A two-wheel drive/four-wheel drive switching system provided with an electromagnetic coil for connecting or disconnecting a driving shaft and a driven shaft. The accessories connected to the electromagnetic coil of the switching system are provided. The accessories are installed in space formed by faces passing a side edge of a final reduction gear unit, an edge on the side of a switching unit of the final reduction gear unit, an edge on the drive side of the switching unit, and an upper edge of the switching unit. The resulting configuration facilitates the assembly of the accessories connected to the electromagnetic coil.

Two-wheel drive/four-wheel drive switching system for a vehicle

To provide a vehicular two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive switching system the configuration of which is simple and which can be built with minor changes to the existing configuration. The switching system hardly generates any noise and can be individually lubricated in a state separated from the other actuating parts. A vehicular two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive switching system according to the present invention is provided with an outer ring connected to a driving shaft and an inner ring connected to a driven shaft. A plurality of engaging/disengaging members are provided for connecting or disconnecting the shafts by being connected or disconnected to/from the respective opposite surfaces. A switching mechanism is provided for selectively positioning the drive shaft and the driven shaft in a position in which they are connected and in a position in which they are disconnected. The outer ring is axially divided into a first outer ring and a second outer ring, they are connected via a spline provided at each end in a state in which relative turning is contained and the driving shaft is connected to the second outer ring via a spline in a state in which relative turning is contained.

A two-wheel-drive/four-wheel-drive switching system for a vehicle wherein a switching mechanism is securely fixed and functions of the switching mechanism can be secured, preventing noise from being made. An outside flange is provided to an electromagnetic coil forming a switching mechanism for switching two wheel drive and four wheel drive. A fitting section having a difference in a level to which the outside flange touches is formed in a casing in which the switching mechanism is installed. A fitting groove is formed on the inside face at an interval equal to or larger than the thickness of the outside flange from the fitting section. A circlip opposite to the outside flange is inserted into the circular groove and the outside flange is pressed on the fitting section by inserting a circular elastic member between the circlip and the outside flange.
