A light guide for a vehicle lamp includes a rod-shaped portion and a plate-shaped portion. The rod-shaped portion includes a rod-shaped light guide portion and a connecting projection portion projecting from a peripheral surface of the rod-shaped light guide portion and extending along the rod-shaped light guide portion. The plate-shaped portion includes two principal surfaces facing opposite to each other and a plate-shaped portion side surface connecting the two principal surfaces. The light guide is a multi-color molded product in which the rod-shaped portion is formed of a first resin material and the plate-shaped portion is formed of a second resin material containing a light diffusing agent. The rod-shaped light guide portion is connected to the side surface of the plate-shaped portion by the connecting projection portion.

A lamp design surface member is provided. The lamp design surface member includes a design surface having a decorative surface. Concave-convex portions and planar portions are formed together on the decorative surface. The concave-convex portions have a peak cross-sectional height Rt of 1 &#x3bc;m or more and the planar portions have a peak cross-sectional height Rt smaller than 1 &#x3bc;m. The planar portions are formed so that an area ratio of the planar portions to the decorative surface is in a range of 30% to 80%.

A vehicle lamp has a housing and a transparent cover formed of a transparent resin having a flexural modulus of 2000 MPa or more, and joined to the housing by beam welding. The transparent cover has a first surface and a second surface. The second surface faces the housing, and a welding surface is formed along a circumference of the second surface. The welding surface is formed such that the welding surface has a three-dimensional curved surface in a closed-curve form, and such that each continuing surface of the welding surface is formed as a flat surface with respect to a direction of a normal line thereto or as a curved surface having a curvature radius of 30 mm or more with respect to a direction of a normal line thereto.
