Provided is a liquid crystal display device including: a CF substrate; a TFT substrate disposed at a position facing the CF substrate; a transfer member provided at a corner portion in a bezel region of the TFT substrate; a spacer member for maintaining a distance between the CF substrate and the TFT substrate within a predetermined range; and a cutting mark made of the same material as that of the spacer member, and disposed on the CF substrate between a cutting line for the CF substrate from a mother CF substrate and the transfer member.

Liquid crystal display device and method of manufacturing liquid crystal display device

A source line is provided on a layer above a substrate, and as a whole, extends in a first direction while meandering along the main surface of the substrate. An alignment film is provided on a layer above the source line, and specifies the alignment direction of a liquid crystal. A first protruding section along the source line is formed on the surface of the alignment film. In a cross-section that is parallel to the first direction and perpendicular to the substrate, and that passes through the source line, the inclination of an inclined end face on one side of the first protruding section in the first direction is steeper than the inclination of each inclined end face on the other side of the protruding section.

Array substrate for liquid crystal display device, and manufacturing method thereof

A liquid crystal device includes a first substrate, a second substrate arranged oppositely to the first substrate, and a liquid crystal layer sandwiched between the first and second substrates. Preferably, the first substrate includes a gate wiring, a gate terminal part formed at an end of the first substrate and provided with a gate terminal to which a signal to the gate wiring is inputted, a source wiring intersecting with the gate wiring through an insulating film, a switching element connected to the source wiring, a pixel electrode connected to the source wiring through the switching element, and a common electrode arranged oppositely to the pixel electrode. Preferably, the second substrate includes a light shielding film formed on the side of the first substrate and arranged at a position corresponding to the gate wiring, and a cutting where the light shielding film is cut in a pixel near the gate terminal part.

A liquid crystal display device has the first substrate and the second substrate. The first substrate includes a gate line, a source line crossing the gate line, a switching element connected to the source line, a liquid crystal drive electrode connected to the switching element and having a plurality of electrodes substantially parallel to each other, and a common electrode consisting of a plurality of comb-shaped electrodes arranged substantially parallel to and alternately with the liquid crystal drive electrode. The second substrate includes color filters arranged in an array arrangement and a black matrix provided between the color filters. A spacer between the substrates contacts the first substrate in the area where the gate line, the liquid crystal drive electrode, and the common electrode are arranged in the vicinity of each other.

In a process for chamfering substrates constituting a liquid crystal display device, it is made possible to prevent a static electricity from generating in a chamfering amount mark used in order to perform a highly accurate chamfering, and improve a chamfering accuracy. There is provided a structure in which a chamfering amount mark formed in an end portion of a 1st substrate is formed so as to be electrically connected to a short wiring , and a connection between the chamfering amount mark and extension wirings which are another conductive wirings is performed, thereby discharging the static electricity to another conductive pattern. Incidentally, there is adopted a structure in which plural mark patterns constituting the chamfering amount mark are intended to be electrically connected by a connecting wiring and, additionally, the connecting wiring is extended to a short wiring side.
