A sample measuring device according to the present invention includes a measuring unit for performing measurement with respect to a particular component contained in a sample, a measurement data storage unit for storing measurement data obtained by the measuring unit, a display unit for displaying the measurement data, a sensor strip detector for detecting insertion and removal of a sensor strip to which the sample is applied, and a first data transmitter/receiver for transmitting the measurement data via wireless communication. The first data transmitter/receiver performs initial authentication process for wireless communication after insertion of the sensor strip is detected by the sensor strip detector.

Sample measuring device and sample measuring system

The present invention provides a data processing system and a data collection method by which measurement data can be read in and transmitted easily, without connecting a terminal for transmitting data with various types of measurement apparatuses, and further provides a measurement apparatus to be used for the data processing system and the data collection method. The data processing system at least uses: a measurement apparatus () provided with a display screen (); a terminal (); and a server (). The measurement apparatus () includes: a measurement portion for obtaining measurement data; a code transforming portion for transforming the measurement data into a bar code, a two-dimensional code () or a composite code; and a display portion for displaying the code on the display screen. The terminal () includes; an image pickup portion for picking up an image on the display screen () that displays the code; an analysis portion for generating measurement data for transmission by analyzing the code that is picked up; and a transmission portion for transmitting, to the server (), the measurement data for transmission. The server includes a memory portion for storing the transmitted measurement data for transmission.

Data processing apparatus, measurement apparatus and data collection method

A measurement support system includes a measurement device and a management device connected to the measurement device via a communications network. When the measurement device uses consumable materials such as reagents, the management device manages the stock of consumable materials, supplies the consumable materials, and corrects measured data in accordance with the state of the consumable materials. Thus, the measurement support system can reduce the burden on users of the measurement device. The reagents that are used in measurement by a personal measuring instrument () located at each of patients' homes (B, C, . . . ) are assigned a reagent ID number beforehand. This reagent ID number and measured data are transmitted to a host computer () of a medical institution (A). The host computer () determines the stock of reagents based on the consumable material identifier received from the personal measuring instrument () and ships the reagents to the patient's home when the stock is running low. The host computer () also corrects the measured data in view of a calibration curve and degradation based on the production lot information of the reagents stored in correspondence with the reagent ID number.

Measurement support system and measurement support method

A measurement support system includes a management device connected to a measurement device via a communications network. When the measurement device uses consumable materials such as reagents, the management device manages the stock of consumable materials, supplies the consumable materials, and corrects measured data in accordance with the state of the consumable materials. The reagents that are used are assigned a reagent ID number beforehand. This reagent ID number and measured data are transmitted to a host computer of a medical institution that determines the stock of reagents based on the consumable material identifier received from the personal measuring instrument and ships the reagents to the patient's home when the stock is running low. The host computer also corrects the measured data in view of a calibration curve and degradation based on the production lot information of the reagents stored in correspondence with the reagent ID number.

When a network connection request is sent from a user's personal computer () to a server () on the Internet (), the server () sends an authentication confirmation number generated by a random number generating unit () to the personal computer () of the connection requester. The connection requester connects a portable telephone () to a modem () and enters the authentication confirmation number displayed on the personal computer () through operation of keys of the portable telephone (). An authentication unit () authenticates the connection request of the connection requester to set up connection to the network if the telephone number of the portable telephone () stored in a user information storage unit () agrees with the telephone number sent to the modem () and if the authentication confirmation number entered through the portable telephone () is correct.

A measuring device () has, e.g., a voice input portion () for a measurer to input an arbitrary comment at a time of measurement, and it allows a voice recognition portion () to recognize the measurer's comment inputted by the voice input portion () and also allows a recognition result to be stored in a comment storing portion () in correlation with information on date and time, thereby storing conditions or the like of the measurer at the time of measurement, together with the measurement data.

A measurement data processing system is provided, which can transmit measurement data for processing from a data measuring device that has measured and stored the data to a data processing device without a complicated operation. When a personal measuring instrument () is connected to a cable (), followed by turning on a power switch () or when a personal measuring instrument () whose power switch () is on is connected to a computer () via a cable (), the computer () automatically executes a series of operations including fetching the measurement data stored in the personal measuring instrument (), analyzing the data and then outputting the results of processing to a printer ().

Measurement data processing system

It is an object of the present invention to provide a remote data management system with which, by keeping the transmission of measured data from measurers from being concentrated at particular times, the measured data can be gathered efficiently and the party managing the data can suffice with a minimal equipment investment. In patient households (B, C . . . ), a personal measuring device () is connected to a communications device () via a cable or the like, and data that are measured by the personal measuring device () are transferred to the communications device () and stored. A server () of a medical institution (A) sends a data transmission request to the communications device () in each patient's household via a public communications networkdaily, biweekly, or monthly, for example. When the communications device () receives the data transmission request it transmits the stored measured data to the server ().
