The purpose of the present invention is to obtain a fiber-reinforced composite material molded article having high adhesive strength in a boundary portion between an insert portion comprising a fiber-reinforced resin substrate and an integrally molded portion molded integrally with the insert portion. A fiber-reinforced composite material molded article () containing reinforcing fibers and a thermoplastic resin and being provided with a first layer (), a second layer (), and a third layer () in this order, the thickness of each layer, the ratio of the total volume of reinforcing fibers (x) having a fiber length of 3 mm to less than 100 mm with respect to the total volume of reinforcing fibers present in the layer, the ratio of the total volume of reinforcing fibers (y) having a fiber length of 0.02 mm to less than 3 mm with respect to the total volume of reinforcing fibers present in the layer, and the volume content of fibers in each layer being controlled so as to be in specific ranges.

Fiber-reinforced composite material molded article and method for manufacturing same

A prepreg formed from a resin and unidirectionally aligned reinforcement fibers, characterized in that: the prepreg is sheet-shaped; the prepreg has cutouts of a depth for cutting the reinforcement fibers, and includes reinforcement fibers (A) cut by the cutouts to a length of 10 to 50 mm and reinforcement fibers (B) having a length of equal to or more than 50% of the sheet length of the prepreg in the alignment direction of the reinforcement fibers; the surface area of a band section including the reinforcement fibers (B) in a plan view is 1.4% to 35.0% of the entire surface area of the prepreg in a plan view; and at least one end of the reinforcement fibers (B) is positioned at an end portion of the prepreg in the alignment direction of the reinforcement fibers.

Provided are a carbon fiber thermoplastic resin prepreg which is a carbon fiber prepreg obtained by impregnating a PAN-based carbon fiber in which the average fiber fineness of a single fiber is 1.0 dtex to 2.4 dtex with a thermoplastic resin, wherein the thermoplastic resin satisfies 20&#x2264;(FM/FS)&#x2264;40 (where FM: flexural modulus (MPa) of a resin sheet comprising only the thermoplastic resin, and FS: flexural strength (MPa) of the resin sheet), a method for manufacturing the same, and a carbon fiber composite material employing the carbon fiber prepreg.
