A variable displacement swash plate compressor includes a displacement control valve that is configured to change crank chamber pressure, and an opening adjusting valve that adjusts an amount of refrigerant sucked into a suction chamber. The opening adjusting valve includes a valve case, a first valve element, a second valve element, and an urging spring. The valve case has a valve seat on which the second valve element is seated. The valve seat regulates movement of the second valve element toward the first valve element. A sealing member is provided between an inner peripheral surface of the valve case that defines a second valve chamber and an outer peripheral surface of the second valve element to prevent refrigerant in the second valve chamber so that leakage between a bleed passage and a control passage is prevented.

Variable displacement swash plate compressor

A piston compressor includes a housing including a cylinder block having cylinder bores. The housing has a discharge chamber, a swash plate chamber, and an axial hole. The piston compressor includes a drive shaft, a fixed swash plate, a piston, a discharge valve, a rotating body, and a control valve. The rotating body has a second communication passage that communicates with first communication passages intermittently by rotation of the drive shaft. A flow rate of refrigerant gas discharged from the compression chambers into the discharge chamber decreases when a communication angle around the axis becomes large per a rotation of the drive shaft depending on a position of the rotating body in the direction of the axis. The piston compressor includes a suction throttle that decreases the flow rate of refrigerant gas in the compression chamber when the communication angle becomes large based on the control pressure.

Piston compressor including a suction throttle

A piston compressor includes a housing, a drive shaft, a fixed swash plate, a plurality of pistons, a movable body, and a control valve. The housing includes a cylinder block having a plurality of cylinder bores and a plurality of first communication passages. The movable body has a second communication passage that intermittently communicates with each of the first communication passages by rotation of the drive shaft. A flow rate of refrigerant discharged from a compression chamber into a discharge chamber changes according to a position of the movable body in a direction of an axis of the drive shaft. The control valve is configured to control a control pressure. The first communication passages are connected to the second communication passage by the movable body and disconnected from the second communication passage by the drive shaft.

Piston compressor

A variable displacement swash plate type compressor includes a first and a second valve body, and a suction and a bleed window. An open degree of the suction window is minimized by the first valve body and an open degree of the bleed window is maximized by the second valve body when a suction pressure is lower than a predetermined suction pressure and a crank chamber pressure is higher than a control pressure. The open degree of the suction window is increased and the open degree of the bleed window is maximized when the suction pressure is higher than the predetermined suction pressure and the crank chamber pressure is higher than the control pressure. The open degree of the suction window and the open degree of the bleed window are decreased when the crank chamber pressure is lower than the control pressure.

Variable displacement swash plate type compressor

When a suction pressure is lower than a set suction pressure, and a crank chamber pressure is higher than a control pressure in a second supply passage, a first valve body reduces an opening degree of a suction passage, and a second valve body opens a bleed passage. When the suction pressure is higher than the set suction pressure, and the crank chamber pressure is higher than the control pressure, the first valve body increases the opening degree of the suction passage, and the second valve body opens the bleed passage. When the crank chamber pressure is lower than the control pressure, the first valve body reduces the opening degree of the suction passage, and the second valve body closes the bleed passage.

The compressor is provided with an oil separator for separating oil from refrigerant gas introduced into a separation chamber, an annular space for reserving oil separated from the refrigerant gas, and a reservoir chamber for reserving the thus separated oil. The oil separator is provided in a cylindrical hole formed in a discharge chamber from which the refrigerant gas is discharged and a lid for partitioning the cylindrical hole from the discharge chamber is provided in the cylindrical hole. The oil separator introduces the refrigerant gas from the discharge chamber to the separation chamber via the introduction passage. The annular space is provided around the lid and connected to the reservoir chamber via an oil passage. The reservoir chamber is connected to a crank chamber of a pressure lower than that in the discharge chamber.

Compressor

A compressor comprises a suction passage; an oil reservoir for storing a lubricating oil which is separated from a refrigerant gas having a discharge pressure; and a throttle valve provided in the suction passage and having a valve body for adjusting an opening degree of the suction passage based on a differential pressure applied to the valve body. The suction passage has an upstream suction passage which is located upstream of the throttle valve. The compressor comprises a lubricating oil passage connecting the oil reservoir to the upstream suction passage for the lubricating oil in the oil reservoir to flow to the upstream suction passage therethrough.

Compressor and method for operating the same

A refrigerant gas compressor includes a cylinder block formed with plural cylinder bores, a first housing disposed at the one end of the cylinder block, a second housing disposed at the other end of the cylinder block, a drive shaft supported by the cylinder block and one of the housings, a crank chamber formed in one of the housings, a suction chamber and a discharge chamber formed in one of the housings, a valve plate assembly disposed between the cylinder block and at least one of the housings, a stepped portion formed adjacent to the valve plate assembly to receive a part of the valve plate assembly. A storage chamber is provided for reserving therein oil separated from refrigerant gas. An oil groove is formed by the stepped portion and the valve plate assembly and connecting the storage chamber with one of the crank chamber and the suction chamber.

Refrigerant gas compressor

A compressor having a discharge chamber into which compressed refrigerant gas is discharged, a discharge passage connected to the discharge chamber, an oil separation device that centrifugally separate oil from the refrigerant gas, an oil reservoir chamber that communicates with a separation chamber through an oil passage and retains the oil separated from the refrigerant gas, and a filter provided between the separation chamber and the oil passage is disclosed. The oil reservoir chamber communicates with a low pressure zone in the compressor the pressure of which is lower than the pressure in the discharge chamber. The oil reservoir chamber thus supplies the separated oil to the low pressure zone. The oil separation device is arranged in the discharge passage in such a manner as to define the separation chamber. The oil separation device centrifugally separate the oil from the refrigerant gas by causing swirling of the refrigerant gas that has been sent to the separation chamber. The filter extends in a swirling direction of the refrigerant gas in the separation chamber.

The compressor has a differential pressure type flow rate detector that obtains the pressure in an upstream passage and the pressure in a downstream passage to detect a refrigerant flow rate within a refrigerant passage. The detector has an accommodation chamber, and a partition body slidably accommodated within the accommodation chamber. The partition body comparts the accommodation chamber into a high pressure chamber to which the pressure in the upstream passage is introduced, and a low pressure chamber to which the pressure in the downstream passage is introduced. The compressor has an oil separator having an oil introduction passage connected to the oil separating chamber and a high pressure introduction passage introducing the pressure in the upstream passage to the high pressure chamber. The oil introduction passage introduces the oil separated from the refrigerant by the oil separator to a pressure zone other than a discharge pressure zone.

Structure for sensing refrigerant flow rate in a compressor

Refrigerant gas is introduced into a suction chamber through a suction line. Refrigerant gas is allowed to flow from the crank chamber into the suction chamber through an outlet line. An open degree adjustment valve () has a first valve body for adjusting an open degree of the suction line and a second valve body for adjusting an open degree of the outlet line. The first valve body and the second valve body are connected to each other. The first valve body moves in such a manner as to increase the open degree of the suction line when the difference between the pressure in the suction chamber and the pressure in the crank chamber decreases, and reduce the open degree of the suction line when the difference between the pressure in the suction chamber and the pressure in the crank chamber increases. Thus, variation of gas pressure is reliably suppressed while maintaining favorable starting performance of the compressor.

Variable displacement compressor

A flow meter for a variable displacement compressor comprises a movable body operable to move by differential pressure, a magnet provided in the movable body, a magnetic sensor for detecting change of magnetic flux density of the magnet, a flow passage for refrigerant gas which is discharged from cylinder bores to flow therethrough, a sealed chamber connected perpendicularly to the flow passage and accommodating therein the movable body, an urging member for urging the movable body into the flow passage, a clearance formed between a movable body and an inner wall surface of the flow passage, a by-pass passage opened and closed as the movable body is moved in an axial direction of the movable body, and a communication passage for introducing into the sealed chamber the refrigerant gas in a downstream flow passage of the flow passage which is located downstream of the movable body.

Flow meter for variable displacement compressor

A power transmission device includes a first one-way clutch that transmits a rotational power of a pulley to a rotating shaft, and a second one-way clutch that transmits a rotational power of a rotor of a motor to the rotating shaft. The first one-way clutch is of inner cam type in which an engagement cam-surface is formed in an outer periphery of a first inner ring, while the second one-way clutch is of outer cam type in which an engagement cam-surface is formed in an inner periphery of a second outer ring. This arrangement improves engagement performance of the first one-way clutch as well as reducing heat generation of the second one-way clutch, so that the lifetime of grease is prolonged.

Power transmission device

There is provided a one-way clutch unit that is simple in structure and compact. An annular recessis provided in an inner periphery of a side of a deep groove ball bearing portionof a first inner ringof a first one-way clutch, and an end portion on the side of a deep groove ball bearing portionof a second one-way clutchis disposed in the annular recess.
