Disclosed herein are scientific instrument support systems, as well as related methods, computing devices, and computer-readable media. For example, in some embodiments, a scientific instrument support apparatus includes chromatogram logic to calculate the square of a retention time and a peak width variance for each of a plurality of peaks in a chromatogram; plate calculation logic to calculate an expected plate number and an observed plate number; and suppressor status logic to determine a suppressor status based on a ratio of the observed plate number to the expected plate number (O/E ratio) and to display the status.

Suppressor diagnostic tool

A system for self-regulating a suppressor includes an ion chromatography suppressor, a power supply for applying an electric potential to the suppressor, and a control unit configured to provide an offset voltage Vand an applied voltage Vto the suppressor, measure a current of the suppressor responsive to the offset and applied voltages Vand V, determine a suppressor state of the suppressor based upon the measured current, and adjust the offset voltage Vbased upon the suppressor state. A method for self-regulating a suppressor is also disclosed.

Method and system for self-regulating a suppressor

Systems, methods and devices are taught for providing analytical methods for peak-shaped responses separated in time or space, including quantitation of chromatographic peaks based on a width measurement of a peak trace at a selected height as a quantitation element. Methods of treating a peak trace as a composition of exponential functions representing a leading and a trailing end are included. Methods that facilitate the detection of impurities in peak trace outputs are also included.
