There is provided an optical sheet which can prevent problems when it is superimposed on another member. The optical sheet includes: a sheet-like base layer; a light control layer having unit shaped elements arranged in a direction parallel to a sheet surface of the base layer; and a light diffusing layer disposed between the base layer and the light control layer. The light diffusing layer includes a binder resin portion and particles dispersed in the binder resin portion. The particles in the binder resin portion includes a single particle and an aggregate formed of aggregated single particles.

Optical sheet, surface light source device and transmission type display device

An optical sheet including a fly-eye lens is provided, which exhibits excellent optical functions, including desired light condensing ability, light diffusing ability and an ability for rendering a light source image substantially invisible, and can be produced with high reproducibility. The optical sheet includes a sheet-like main body, first unit shaped elements arranged on one surface of the main body and together constituting the fly-eye lens; and second unit shaped elements arranged on the one surface of the main body and extending in parallel with one direction on the sheet surface of the main body. The first unit shaped elements are arranged, with a space provided therebetween, on the one surface of the main body, while the second unit shaped elements are arranged between the first unit shaped elements on the one surface of the main body.

Optical sheet, surface light source device and transmission-type display device

An optical module includes a polarizing plate and a light emitter disposed in a position facing the polarizing plate. The polarizing plate includes a polarizer and a protective film joined to the polarizer. The protective film has a light control function that changes the traveling direction of light. The light emitter is disposed in a position directly facing the protective film of the polarizing plate.

Optical module and display device

An optical sheet having both of an excellent light condensing function and an excellent scratch resistance is provided. An optical sheet includes: a sheet-like main body; at least three or more first unit shaped elements arranged on one surface of the main body; and second unit shaped elements arranged on the one surface of the main body. Each of the second unit shaped elements extend in parallel with in one direction on a sheet surface of the main body. A height Hof each of the first unit shaped elements from the one surface is higher than a height Hof each of the second unit shaped elements. A rate of an area occupied by the first unit shaped elements on the one surface is not more than 10.0%, when observed along a normal direction nd relative to the one surface.
