The present invention provides a vaccine containing a complex of a peptide consisting of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1 and an epitope of a disease-causing biological protein such as DPP4, IL-17A, IgE, S100A9 or PCSK9, which vaccine uses a less antigenic carrier protein and is capable of inducing antibody production to serve as an effective vaccine.

Conjugate vaccine targeting a disease-causing biological protein

Provided is an immunogenic composition comprising an antigenic peptide capable of inducing production of a neutralizing antibody against S100A9 and a carrier protein. The immunogenic composition can be used as a highly safe antithrombotic vaccine having antithrombotic effect without a long-term bleeding risk and is useful for the prevention of a disease associated with thrombus formation in which platelet aggregation is involved, particularly for the prevention of recurrent ischemic stroke.

An object of the present invention to discover a short peptide having an anti-aging effect and to provide a novel anti-aging agent comprising the peptide as an active ingredient. A novel polypeptide, and an antibacterial agent, antifungal agent and/or antiseptic containing as an effective ingredient the polypeptide are disclosed. The polypeptide of this invention has an amino acid sequence shown in SEQ ID NOs:1 to 12 and 13 to 31. This antibacterial agent, antifungal agent and/or antiseptic is useful for the prevention, amelioration or treatment of diseases such as burn, decubitus, wound, skin ulcer, leg ulcer, diabetic ulcer, occlusive arterial disease and arteriosclerosis obliterans, cellulitis, acute lymphangitis, lymphadenitis, erysipelas, skin abscess, necrotizing subcutaneous infection, staphylococcal scalded skin syndrome (SSSS), folliculitis, facial furuncle, suppurative hidradenitis, carbuncle, infectious paronychia, erythrasma and severe infection (sepsis).
