(1) A container for a nonaqueous electrolytic solution, containing a material containing an aluminum or aluminum alloy layer, and storing a nonaqueous electrolytic solution containing a nonaqueous solvent having dissolved therein an electrolyte salt, the container having a cap and a plug each formed of a resin, and maintaining the nonaqueous electrolytic solution to have a water content of 50 ppm or less after storing in the container for 30 days, (2) a nonaqueous electrolytic solution placed in the container, and (3) a method for storing a nonaqueous electrolytic solution. The container for a nonaqueous electrolytic solution is a light weight container that prevents the nonaqueous electrolytic solution from being decomposed on storing to maintain the high quality, and facilitates and ensures the handling of the nonaqueous electrolytic solution.

An asymmetric chain carbonate can be produced in a single-step reaction comprising a step of reacting methyl nitrite, carbon monoxide, and 0.05-1.5 moles of an aliphatic alcohol having 2-6 carbon atoms or an alicyclic alcohol having 5-6 carbon atoms per one mole of methyl nitrile in a gaseous phase in the presence of a solid catalyst comprising a platinum group metal or a compound thereof placed on a support.

Method for producing asymmetric chain carbonate

Disclosed is a nonaqueous electrolytic solution useful for producing a lithium secondary battery having excellent cycle characteristics. Specifically disclosed is a nonaqueous electrolytic solution for lithium secondary batteries obtained by dissolving an electrolyte salt in a nonaqueous solvent which is characterized by containing 0.1 to 10 wt. % of a tert-alkylbenzene compound and also containing 0.001-0.5 wt. % of a benzene compound, wherein a hydrocarbon group having 1-4 carbon atoms is bonded to a benzene ring via the tertiary carbon atom, relative to the tert-alkylbenzene compound.

Nonaqueous electrolytic solution for lithium secondary battery

An electrolysis solution for electrolytic capacitors including an aqueous organic solvent consisting of water and a water-compatible organic solvent and 1,6-decane-dicarboxylic acid or salt thereof dissolved therein. The solution further contains one or more additives selected from dinitriles, pivalic acid and salts thereof, diesters, alkylated lactones, cyanoalkanoic esters, monocarbboxylic acids each having a C alkyl chain and substituted with two C alkyl groups at the &bgr;-position to the carboxyl group and salts thereof, monocarboxylic acids each having C alkyl chain and substituted with one ethyl group at the &agr;-position to the carboxyl group and salts thereof, and monocarboxylic acids derived from cyclic saturated compounds each having five or six ring-constituting carbon atoms and salts thereof. When one or more compounds selected from among dinitriles, diesters, alkylated lactones and cyanoalkanoic esters are used as the additives, the 1,6-decanedicarboxylic acid may be replaced by other carboxylic acid.

Electrolysis solution for electrolytic capacitors

An electrolyte for a lithium secondary battery comprising (i) a non-aqueous solvent, especially consists essentially of a high dielectric solvent and a low viscosity solvent, and (ii) an electrolyte salt, dissolved therein and (iii) an alkyne derivative or an alkyne carbonate derivative and also a lithium secondary battery using the same are disclosed.
