A magnetron comprises an anode cylinder, vanes extending radially and inwardly from the anode cylinder, an output-side-sealing metal cylinder sealed to the end of the anode cylinder, an antenna lead connected to one of said vanes and a plurality of flanged metal cylinders enclosing the antenna lead and disposed inside the output-side-sealing metal cylinder along the direction of a magnetron tube axis.

Magnetron with resonant choke structure for supressing unwanted harmonics

A waveguide filter for use in a microwave oven having a plurality of metallic plates disposed in a waveguide in substantially parallel to side walls of the waveguide. The metallic plates are provided in the upper and lower edges thereof with a series of openings at a constant interval so as to provide a corrugated configuration. First members are disposed for providing a certain spacing between adjacent ones of the metallic plates and holding the metallic plates substantially in parallel to one another; and second members including metal members are disposed between the side walls of said waveguide and the ones of the metallic plates adjacent the waveguide side walls for creating a substantially uniform clearance between the upper and lower edges of the metallic plates and the upper and lower walls of the waveguide and for holding the metallic plates substantially in parallel to the waveguide side walls.

Waveguide filter used in a microwave oven

A magnetron includes inner and outer strap rings for providing a linkage among vanes which are disposed inside of an anode cylinder. The inner and outer strap rings have their diameters determined such that their algebraic mean is 1.75-1.95 times the diameter of an interaction space defined by the inner tips of the vanes. The magnetron structure achieves a significant leakage supression effect against spurious microwaves, particularly the fifth harmonic.

The magnetron apparatus comprises a magnetron tube and a driving circuit including a transformer having a primary winding, a low voltage secondary winding for energizing the cathode filament of the magnetron tube and a high voltage secondary winding for applying an anode voltage upon the anode electrode of the tube. The high and low secondary windings and the terminals of the cathode filament are contained in a shield casing for preventing leakage of the wave.

Apparatus for suppressing radiation leakage in a magnetron circuit

In a magnetron of the class comprising an anode cylinder, radial vanes mounted on the inner surface of the anode cylinder, and a cathode structure disposed along the axis of the anode cylinder, non-magnetic annular rings, frustums or cylinders are mounted on the pole pieces of the permanent magnets or on the inner surface of the anode cylinder to cause the end spaces on both ends of the anode cylinder to resonate at the second higher harmonic which is desired to be suppressed.
