A processing system comprises a first integrated circuit (IC) and a second IC. The first IC comprises first image processing circuitry, first display panel driver circuitry, and first communication circuitry. The first image processing circuitry is configured to generate a first overlay image by overlaying a first partial input image with a first image element based on first partial input image data representing the first partial input image and first image element data representing the first image element. The first display panel driver circuitry is configured to drive a display panel based on the first overlay image. The first communication circuitry is configured to output second image element data representing a second image element to the second IC.

A display driver is disclosed that includes: an external interface circuit having input modes as interface modes to input display data. The display driver keeps the scan driving of a display panel stopped during a predetermined period until the driving of the display panel by display data input in the interface mode after switching is enabled in case that the interface mode of the external interface circuit is switched in the middle of driving the display panel based on display data input through the external interface circuit.

A processing system comprises a first IC chip and a second IC chip. The first IC chip comprises first image processing circuitry, first display panel driver circuitry, and first communication circuitry. The first image processing circuitry is configured to generate a first overlay image by overlaying a first partial input image with a first image element based on first partial input image data representing the first partial input image and first image element data representing the first image element. The first display panel driver circuitry is configured to drive a display panel based on the first overlay image. The first communication circuitry is configured to output second image element data representing a second image element to the second IC chip.

A semiconductor device and a mobile terminal are described herein. In one example, a semiconductor device is provided that includes: a power-source part; an interface part; a logic part; and a driving part. In the semiconductor device, the power-source part includes a power-source-cutoff-detection circuit operable to detect a first state in which supply of an external power source is cut off. The logic part includes: a data-cutoff-detection circuit operable to detect a second state in which supply of stream data accompanied by synchronizing signals from outside the semiconductor device is cut off undesirably; and a control circuit operable to perform control for having the driving part cope with the power source cutoff with the power-source-cutoff-detection circuit detecting the first state or the data-cutoff-detection circuit detecting the second state.

The semiconductor device cyclically outputs given status information pieces according to a predetermined procedure from a test output terminal one by one on receipt of a test enable direction through a test enable terminal, and outputs the same status information pieces as those output at that time from the test output terminal without interruption on receipt of a test disable direction. Operating the test enable terminal, the semiconductor device cyclically outputs status information pieces without the need for initial setting and further, outputs only desired status information without interruption.
