A paper feeding cassette is configured to be inserted into an apparatus and drawn out from the apparatus. The paper feeding cassette includes a placement unit at which a sheet is to be placed, and at least one accommodation unit configured to accommodate an accommodated article. The accommodation unit includes a top plate and a side wall intersecting the top plate. The side wall includes an opening part opened toward an inner side of the paper feeding cassette. The placement unit and the accommodation unit are provided at positions different from each other.

Paper feeding cassette and recording apparatus

A feeding cassette includes a hopper, a side guide, and a lift plate. The lift plate rotates with one end portion thereof serving as a rotational fulcrum, and, using a tip portion thereof, supports an under surface of the hopper from below and moves the hopper upward. The hopper includes a constricted portion for reinforcement protruding to an under side, in at least an extension portion. The constricted portion for reinforcement includes a supporting constricted portion with which the tip portion of the lift plate comes into contact when the lift plate supports the under surface of the hopper in a swingable range of the hopper. The supporting constricted portion includes a first constricted portion that is a path including a component in a feeding direction, and at least a part of the first constricted portion is provided in the extension portion. The lift plate supports the first constricted portion.

Feeding cassette and recording device

A medium-transport apparatus includes: an apparatus main body having the transport path for transporting the medium; and a cover CV provided on the side surface of the apparatus main body and configured to be switched between a first state of exposing the transport path and a second state of covering the transport path. The cover CV is divided into: a first cover that has the rotation shaft along a Z-axis and is rotatable with respect to the apparatus main body; and a second cover that is arranged on a −Z side of the first cover, has the rotation shaft along a Y-axis on the Z-side, and is rotatable with respect to the apparatus main body.

A medium-transport apparatus includes: an apparatus main body having the transport path for transporting the medium; and a cover CV provided on the side surface of the apparatus main body and configured to be switched between a first state of exposing the transport path and a second state of covering the transport path. An image recording device includes a support member, a print head, a maintenance unit, a first guide mechanism and a second guide mechanism. The first guide mechanism is configured to guide movement of the print head between the image recording position and the maintenance-receiving position. The second guide mechanism is configured to guide movement of the maintenance unit between a withdrawn position for separating away from the print head and a maintenance position for drawing nearer to the print head than the withdrawn position while the maintenance unit faces the print head disposed at the maintenance-receiving position. A surface of the maintenance unit facing the print head when the maintenance unit is at the withdrawn position is disposed farther away from the print head in a movement direction of the maintenance unit than a portion of the support surface that is disposed closest to the print head.

Image recording device

A printing apparatus including a head unit in which a print head is mounted on a head plate, and a small carriage that holds the head unit. The head unit engages with a slide rail formed in the small carriage with an engagement protrusion, and can be attached and detached in a sliding manner when the head unit is attached and detached.

An image recording device includes a head unit having a print head and a first substrate, a second substrate provided separate to the head unit, a support member that supports the head unit and the second substrate while a first positional relationship in which the head unit and the second substrate are close to each other and a second positional relationship in which the head unit and the second substrate are away from each other are changed. Moreover, in the first positional relationship, the head unit and the second substrate are connected to each other to form an electric signal supply path from the second substrate to the head unit, and, conversely, in the second positional relationship, the connection between the head unit and the second substrate is released such that the head unit is dismountable from the support member.

A liquid ejecting head unit includes a plurality of heads having a nozzle surface in which nozzle openings that eject ink are provided; a cover head that protects the nozzle surfaces of the heads, and a cover that covers the heads and between the nozzle surfaces of each head, in which the cover has a conducting portion that conducts with the cover head of the head.

An image recording device includes a support member, a print head, a guide mechanism and a maintenance unit. The print head is configured to eject a liquid from a nozzle at a first position facing the support member. The guide mechanism is configured to guide movement of the print head among the first position, a second position, and a third position. The maintenance unit is configured to carry out maintenance on the print head which is located at the second position, the maintenance unit being arranged at a position facing the print head which is located at the second position. The third position is a position farther than the second position with respect to the first position in a direction going from the support member toward the maintenance unit in the orthogonal direction.

An electrical circuit substrate, a first holding member holding the electrical circuit substrate, a head configured to discharge liquid, a flow path member having a flow path in which flows the liquid supplied to the head, and a second holding member holding the head and the flow path member are provided. An image recording device, wherein the image recording device is provided with a support member for supporting a recording medium, a print head for recording an image at a first position facing the support member, and a maintenance unit arranged at a position different from that of the support member in an orthogonal direction orthogonal to the direction in which the print head and the support member face each other in the first position. The image recording device is further provided with a guide mechanism for guiding movement of the print head between a first position, a second position in which the print head faces the maintenance unit, and a third position which is a different position from those of the support member and the maintenance unit in an orthogonal direction, and a space allowing for a manual task on the print head is present at the facing position of the print head at the third position.

A printing apparatus includes: a support member that supports a recording medium; a head plate that extends in a direction that intersects a transporting direction of the recording medium; a head body mounted on the head plate and having a nozzle that ejects a liquid onto the recording medium supported on a surface of the support member; and adjusting members that respectively project from opposite ends of the head plate in a direction of the head plate that intersects the transporting direction toward the support member, and that position the head plate with respect to the surface of the support member when each distal end of the adjusting members contacts the surface of the support member.

Printing apparatus and method for adjusting a gap

According to one aspect of the invention, a remanufacturing method of a liquid container forms an inlet in a certain area, for example, a buffer chamber, other than a specific section including liquid reservoirs and flow paths adjoining to and directly communicating with a bubble trap flow path in the liquid container. In the state of closing a liquid feeder and opening an air open structure, the remanufacturing method injects a liquid through the inlet to fill a space in the upstream of the inlet with the liquid. In the state of opening the liquid feeder and closing the air open structure, the remanufacturing method injects the liquid through the inlet to fill a space in the downstream of the inlet with the liquid. The remanufacturing process seals the inlet after completion of the injection of the liquid. This arrangement enables the liquid to be refilled into the liquid container without damaging the functions of the liquid container.
