Provided is a fluoride ion secondary battery having a capacity larger than that of a conventional one. The fluoride ion secondary battery has a negative electrode including zirconium fluoride as a negative electrode active material. The zirconium fluoride may be in the form of particles with an average particle size of 100 nm or less, and the negative electrode may have a zirconium fluoride content of less than 50 % by mass. The negative electrode active material may further include metallic zirconium, which may be in the form of particles with an average particle size of 75 μm or less. The negative electrode may have a metallic zirconium content of 8% by mass or less.

Negative electrode for use in fluoride ion secondary battery and fluoride ion secondary battery including same

The present invention provides: a negative electrode mixture composite body for fluoride ion secondary batteries, said composite body enabling the achievement of a fluoride ion secondary battery that has high initial charge/discharge efficiency; a negative electrode for fluoride ion secondary batteries and a secondary battery, each using this composite body; and a method for producing this composite body. According to the present invention, a composite body is formed using, as a negative electrode active material, nanometer-sized aluminum particles together with the other constituents of a negative electrode mixture, so that coating by aluminum fluoride that is formed by a re-fluoridation reaction after defluoridation is suppressed, while suppressing aggregation of negative electrode active material particles.

The present invention provides a fluoride ion secondary battery which has high initial charge/discharge efficiency, while starting with a charged state and having a high voltage. According to the present invention, a composite body is formed using, as negative electrode active materials, nanometer-sized aluminum particles and modified aluminum fluoride together with the other constituents of a negative electrode mixture, said modified aluminum fluoride having voids that are formed by deintercalation of fluoride ions; and a fluoride ion secondary battery is configured by combining a negative electrode, which uses this composite body, with a positive electrode that contains a specific substance as a positive electrode active material.

Fluoride ion secondary battery

There is provided an anode layer including an anode active material, a conductive aid, and a solid electrolyte, the anode active material including a lanthanoid fluoride doped with an alkaline earth metal fluoride, the conductive aid including a carbon material, the solid electrolyte including at least one of BaCaFand SrCaF, and the lanthanoid fluoride doped with the alkaline earth metal fluoride and the carbon material forming a complex. There is also provided a fluoride ion secondary battery including the anode layer, an electrolyte, and a cathode layer.

Lithium ion secondary battery

A fluoride ion secondary battery, comprising: a positive electrode layer, a solid electrolyte layer, and a negative electrode layer, wherein the positive electrode layer comprises a positive electrode active material; the positive electrode active material comprises a composite fluoride comprising copper and a fluoride; the solid electrolyte comprises BaCaF; the negative electrode layer comprises a negative electrode active material, a conductive aid, and a solid electrolyte; the negative electrode active material comprises a lanthanoid fluoride doped with the alkaline earth metal fluoride; the conductive aid comprises a carbon material, the solid electrolyte contained in the negative electrode layer comprises at least one of BaCaFand SrCaF; and the lanthanoid fluoride doped with the alkaline earth metal fluoride forms a composite with the carbon material.

Provided is an electrode for a secondary cell capable of obtaining excellent output values and input values when used in the secondary cell. The electrode for a secondary cell is formed of an electrode mixture layer molded body formed of an active material and at least one of a carbon nanotube and a three-dimensional carbon nanotube fiber bundle skeleton formed of a plurality of carbon nanotubes that intersect one another to form an aggregation, which are in intimate contact with the surface of the active material; and a current collector layered on the electrode mixture layer molded body. The electrode mixture layer molded body includes a first roughened surface, and the current collector includes a second roughened surface. The first roughened surface of the electrode mixture layer molded body and the second roughened surface of the current collector are pressed and attached to each other.

Electrode for secondary cell

A metal-oxygen cell capable of improving cycle performance is provided. The metal-oxygen cellincludes a positive electrodethat contains an oxygen storage material and uses oxygen as an active material, a negative electrodethat uses a metal as an active material, and an electrolyte layersandwiched between the positive electrodeand the negative electrodeand containing an electrolyte solution, effecting cell reactions of the positive electrodeon a surface of the oxygen storage material. Metal oxygen battery and a method for manufacturing oxygen storage material used therein

A conductive polymer doped with a dopant can be expanded and contracted when electrically oxidized and reduced in a driving electrolytic solution containing an anion, and thereby can act as an actuator element in an actuator. The anion is a fluorine-containing ion derived from a strong acid, and the dopant is an aromatic sulfonate ion free of fluorine. The conductive polymer is a polymer containing a 5-membered heterocyclic moiety as a repeating unit, such as a polypyrrole or a polythiophene. When the conductive polymer is in an oxidized state, at least part of the 5-membered heterocyclic moieties has a carbonyl group.

Actuator

A method for yielding concentrated ethanol from an ethanol water solution yielded from ethanol fermentation of a water solution of saccharide generated by a saccharification of the lignocellulose by enzyme is provided. Water is separated from the ethanol water solution yielded from ethanol fermentation of the water solution of saccharide generated by the saccharification of the lignocellulose by enzyme with pervaporation method using a water separation membrane. Condensate prepared by condensing ethanol vapor existing in a space above a liquid level of the ethanol water solution is collected.

Ethanol water solution concentrating method

A device for concentrating ethanol from an ethanol water solution yielded from lignocellulose is equipped with a water separation membrane, an ethanol water solution storing unit and a depressurizing container provided so as to sandwich the water separation membrane, a dry gas cylinder for supplying dry gas to an ethanol vapor residing unit above the ethanol water solution storing unit, a pump for sucking in the interior of the ethanol vapor residing unit, and a cold trap for collecting the concentrated ethanol by condensing the ethanol vapor sucked in by the pump.

Ethanol water solution concentrating device

Provided is a method for preparing ethanol in high efficiency. The ethanol preparation method includes a step of yielding a saccharide water solution through saccharification of cellulose with an enzyme in water, a step of condensing the saccharide water solution, and a step of yielding an ethanol water solution by fermenting the saccharide in the condensed saccharide water solution into ethanol, wherein the step of condensing the saccharide water solution is performed through a pervaporation treatment on the saccharide water solution by using a water separation membrane composed of polypyrrole doped with a sulfonate ion.

Ethanol preparation method

Provided is a water separation membrane capable of effectively separating water from a water solution of ethanol, saccharide or the like. The water separation membrane is composed of polypyrrole doped with a sulfonate ion. The sulfonate ion may be an aromatic or aliphatic sulfonate ion.
