According to one embodiment, an electronic device includes one or more processors. The one or more processors obtain an image captured by a camera with a filter having a first area transmitting light of a first wavelength range and a second area transmitting light of a second wavelength range. The image includes a first color-component image based on the light of the first wavelength range and a second color-component image based on the light of the second wavelength range. The one or more processors notify a user of an effective area for calculation of depth information based on a bias of color information in the first color-component image and the second color-component image.

Electronic device and notification method

According to one embodiment, an image processing device includes a hardware processor implemented by one or more processors. The hardware processor is configured to acquire an image captured by a monocular camera. The hardware processor is configured to estimate a distance to an object based on the acquired image. The hardware processor is configured to calculate the distance to the object by considering an atmosphere failure influencing the acquired image and executing a statistical process on the estimated distance.

Image processing device and image capture apparatus

According to one embodiment, an optical filter associated with a lens unit having a first end includes a filter part, a filter frame, and an attachment part. The filter part includes a first filter area that transmits light rays of a first wavelength band and a second filter area that transmits light rays of a second wavelength band. The first wavelength band and the second wavelength band include a common wavelength band. The filter frame holds the filter part. The attachment part is coupled with the filter frame and is detachably attached to the first end of the lens unit. When the attachment part is attached to the first end of the lens unit, a distance between the filter part and an aperture within the lens unit is longer than a distance between the first end and the aperture.

According to one embodiment, a display includes a projector, a first optical unit, and a second optical unit. The projector emits a first light including image information. The first optical unit transmits at least a portion of a second light. The second optical unit reflects at least a portion of the first light and transmits at least a portion of the second light. A light reflectance of the first optical unit is lower than a light reflectance of the second optical unit, and a light absorptance of the first optical unit is higher than a light absorptance of the second optical unit.

Monocular projection-type display

According to one embodiment, a display device includes an imager and an image displayer. The imager images a first image of a first state of an eyelid of a viewer. The image displayer includes a light emitter and an optical unit. The light emitter emits light including image information. The optical unit includes a combiner. The light is incident on the optical unit. The combiner causes at least a portion of the light to be incident on an eyeball of the viewer. The image displayer modifies an incident direction of the portion of the light on the eyeball based on the first image imaged by the imager.

Devices for estimating gaze based on a state of an eyelid of a viewer

According to one embodiment, a display device includes a position controller, a projection unit, and a reflector. The projection unit emits light including image information. The projection unit is held by a holder. The position controller is interposed between the holder and the projection unit. The reflector reflects at least a portion of the light emitted from the projection unit. The reflector is held by the holder. A position of the reflector with respect to the holder is fixed. A relative arrangement of the projection unit and the reflector is changeable by the position controller.

Display device

According to one embodiment, a display device includes an imaging unit, an information acquisition unit, a display unit, and a first transmittance control unit. The imaging unit images a first image and generates imaging data. The information acquisition unit acquires first information derived from the imaging data and relating to a second image. The display unit includes an image light emission unit and a semi-transmissive reflection plate. The image light emission unit emits image light. The semi-transmissive reflection plate causes the image light to be incident on one eye and causes background light of the first image to be incident on the one eye. The semi-transmissive reflection plate is disposed between the first transmittance control unit having first and second regions and the one eye. The first transmittance control unit causes a transmittance of the first region to be lower than a transmittance of the second region.

According to one embodiment, an image display device includes a holder. The holder includes a holding member, a first extension portion, and a second extension portion. The holding member has a first end, and a second end separated from the first end, and includes a first portion, and a second portion. The first extension portion is connected to the first end. The second extension portion is connected to the second end and arranged with the first extension portion. The device includes a light emitting unit, and an optical unit. The light emitting unit is configured to be mounted on the first extension portion and to emit light including an image. The optical unit is configured to be mounted on the first portion and to change a travel direction of the light by reflecting the light.

Image display device and head mounted display

According to one embodiment, a head mounted display includes a holder, a projector, an optical part, a weight, a detector, a first calculator, and a movement part. The holder includes a frame, a first temple, and a second temple. The first temple and the second temple are respectively connected to each end part of the frame. The projector is provided on the first temple. The projector emits light. The optical part is provided on the frame. The optical part reflects at least part of the light emitted from the projector. The weight is provided on opposite side of the projector. The detector detects tilt of the holder. The first calculator calculates an optimal position of the weight based on the tilt of the holder. The movement part changes the position of the weight according to the optimal position.

Head mounted display

According to one embodiment, a monocular head mounted display comprising an information acquisition section, an image data generation section, and an image display section. The information acquisition section acquires solid body position information on a position of a solid body located on ground around a user, and indication position information on an indication position for the user. The image data generation section generates image data including an information object to provide provision information to the user. The image display section displays an image based on the image data on one eye of the user in superimposition on a real scene. The image data generation section generates the image data so as to move the information object in the image so that the information object is superimposed on the indication position after placing the information object in the image so that the information object is superimposed on the solid body.

Monocular head mounted display

According to one embodiment, a display apparatus includes an image projection unit, an information acquisition unit and a data supply unit. The image projection unit projects a light flux including an image toward a projection layer which is reflective and transmissive. The information acquisition unit acquires information relating to a position of a three-dimensional object superimposing portion of three-dimensional objects positioned at a road. The road extends from a proximal region of the external environment proximal to the projection layer toward a distal region of the external environment distal to the projection layer. The three-dimensional object superimposing portion is higher than a ground surface and viewable via the projection layer. The data supply unit supplies data relating to the image including a display object to the image projection unit based on the information. The display object is displayed along the three-dimensional object superimposing portion.

Display apparatus

According to one embodiment, a display device includes an image projection unit, an optical unit and a mounting unit. The image projection unit emits an image light. The optical unit includes a first optical layer having first and second major surfaces, a second optical layer having third and fourth major surfaces and an intermediate layer provided between the second and third major surfaces. At least a portion of the image light travelling from the first major surface toward the second major surface is reflected by the intermediate layer. At least a portion of a background light travelling from the fourth major surface toward the third major surface is transmitted by the intermediate layer. The first major surface or the fourth major surface is a curved surface. The mounting unit is linked to the image projection unit and the optical unit.

According to one embodiment, a display device includes an image projection unit. The image projection unit is configured to project a light flux toward one eye of a human viewer by using a projection plate to reflect the light flux. The light flux includes an image including a display object having a vanishing point. The projection plate is reflective and transmissive. The image projection unit is configured to dispose the vanishing point of the display object at a position different from a position of a vanishing point of a background image viewed by the human viewer through the projection plate.

Display device and display method

One embodiment provides a display device, including: a luminous flux generator which generates luminous flux including image information; a reflector plate which reflects the luminous flux generated by the luminous flux generator toward one eye of a viewer; a head detector which detects a head of the viewer by using at least two pairs of distance sensors; a controller which controls a position of the reflector plate based on an output from the head detector; and a driver which drives the reflector plate based on an output from the controller.
