An imaging system comprising: a first lighting device that emits terahertz waves at a first quantity of light emission in a first operation mode, and emits terahertz waves at a second quantity of light emission, which is larger than the first quantity of light emission, in a second operation mode; a first detection device that detects reflected terahertz waves by a target and a control device that switches from the first operation mode to the second operation mode in a case where the first detection device detects the target in the first operation mode.

Imaging system

A liquid ejection module includes a pressure chamber, a supply flow channel that supplies a liquid to the pressure chamber, a collection flow channel that collects the liquid from the pressure chamber, a liquid feeding chamber connected to one of the supply flow channel and the collection flow channel, and a connection flow channel connecting the liquid feeding chamber to the other of the supply flow channel and the collection flow channel. The liquid feeding chamber includes a liquid feeding mechanism that circulates the liquid in the supply flow channel, the pressure chamber, the collection flow channel, the liquid feeding chamber, and the connection flow channel. A ratio of a sum of flow channel resistance of the supply flow channel, the pressure chamber, and the collection flow channel relative to flow channel resistance of the connection flow channel is equal to or above 0.5.

Liquid ejection module

A driving method enables a liquid feeding apparatus using a driving element in the form of a membrane to feed a liquid at high liquid feeding accuracy. To this end, a voltage applied to the driving element is controlled in such a way as to repeat a first period in which the voltage is changed from a first voltage to a second voltage and a second period which is a longer period than the first period and in which the voltage is changed from the second voltage to the first voltage, and such that an inflection point is provided in each predetermined interval during the first period based on a Helmholtz vibration period unique to the liquid feeding apparatus.

Driving method of liquid feeding apparatus

A driving method enables a liquid feeding apparatus using a driving element in a membrane shape to feed a liquid at high liquid feeding accuracy. To this end, a voltage applied to the driving element is controlled in such a way as to repeat a first period in which a first voltage is applied and a second period which is a longer period than the first period and used to effect a change between the first voltage and a second voltage lower than the first voltage, and in such a way as to switch between application and non-application of the first voltage during the first period.

A printer includes an optical sensor configured to image a surface of a medium, and a contact member configured to provide a unique concavo-convex shape by contacting the surface of the conveyed medium on an upstream side thereof. A calculation unit calculates the movement amount of the medium by pattern matching calculation using a correlation window between a plurality of image data acquired at different timings by an optical sensor with the conveyance of the medium. The calculation unit searches in image data first acquired for a unique pattern reflecting the unique concavo-convex shape, and set a region including the unique pattern as a correlation window.
