A weight measurement device comprises: a housing cover to receive weight of a measurement target; a plurality of load cells to support the housing cover and detect the weight; a housing base comprising, for each of the plurality of load cells, a recessed and projected shape part comprising: a recessed part open upward to at least partially contain each load cell and fix the load cell; and a projected part projected downward corresponding to the recessed part; and an adjustment leg which at least partially contains the recessed and projected shape part, and comprises an adjustment mechanism part for height position adjustment at a position opposed to a side part of the recessed and projected shape part.

Weight measurement device and load cell unit

A weight measurement device has a housing that includes a base, a platform located above the base and on which a subject is placed or stands, and a chamber defined by the base and the platform. At least one load cell is contained in the chamber and is supported by the base. A load transmission member is located between the platform and the load cell. A bracket is fixed to the base. An elastic deformation part is located around the load transmission member and connected to the bracket and to the load transmission member. The elastic deformation part has an elasticity that is greater than that of the load transmission member, and allows the load transmission member to change in position with respect to the bracket when force is transmitted from the platform via the load transmission member to the load cell.

Weight measurement device with load transmission member whose position is changeable

In a multipoint scale for weighing a load applied to a placement section by a plurality of weight sensor units, the weight sensor unit includes a weight sensor having a strain-sensitive part; a first flexible elastic member for receiving the load applied to the placement section; a load transmission part for transmitting the load from the first flexible elastic member to a power point of the weight sensor; a load support part for supporting a fulcrum of the weight sensor; and a second flexible elastic member for receiving the load applied to the load support part and for maintaining a direction of the load applied to the strain-sensitive part of the weight sensor to be vertical in accordance with a deflection of the first flexible elastic member. Torsion of the weight sensor is avoided by reducing the effect of deflection of the placement section on transmission of the load to the weight sensor. Because the effect of the deflection of the placement section is reduced, a larger placement table can be used, and the placement table does not need to be a rigid body, enabling the use of a light-weight and inexpensive member or structure.
