A task support system and method improve an operator's handling of an unknown new event. The task support system and method handle an event that occurred in a management target, in relation to an unknown event, and one or more event types are evaluated as event type candidates. A first event type candidate group having a high confidence score among the evaluated event type candidates is extracted and a first candidate confidence score is calculated from each confidence score of each event type candidate of the first event type candidate group. A first candidate importance is calculated from first importance held by an event type corresponding to each event type candidate belonging to the first event type candidate group and information other than the first importance. A diagram corresponding to each event is represented in a coordinate space by using the first candidate confidence score and the first candidate importance.

Task support system and method

An exemplary information storage system of the present invention includes a plurality of information storage nodes and an administration node. The administration node determines the defined number of information storage nodes for storing the data having the identical content to each of received data. The received data belong to the defined number of categories, respectively. In a case where use of a first information storage node in the plurality of information storage nodes is interrupted, each storage node replicates the data of an identical content to data stored in the first information storage node whose category is pre-associated with a category of the data stored in the first information storage node to an information storage node selected according to a predetermined sequence.

In a server-based computing environment, an environment that is the same as the environment realized on a server is provided to a user at a place where connection to a network can not be established. A virtual computer is constructed on the server. A client can executes an application program on the virtual computer. When the client is disconnected from the network, data required for constructing the virtual computer are saved in a file and that file is sent as it is to the client. On the client, the received file is used to construct the virtual computer, and work is continued on the virtual computer.

The present invention relates to a method for monitoring a computer system in which one manager computer is connected to a plurality of agent computers over a network. The manager computer sends information on the types of log to be collected to the plurality of agent computers. In response, the plurality of agent computers collect the specified types of log. A delay factor in a processing in a job system in which an ordered series of jobs are executed in computers assigned to respective jobs, is efficiently detected, and the delay factor is analyzed in detail by associating it with load information of the computers and a network. An administrative manager computer collects a history of executing a job from each job executing computer , and refers to a history of each job, one by one from a job executed later to a job executed earlier, until no delay is detected in a job, for judging a cause of delay in each job. Further, with respect to a job in which delay is detected, load statuses of the other jobs or applications in the computer in which said job is in execution are compared with said job and displayed.

When a computer as a logical connection destination which detected a search objective user issues a search request to first one of computers which established logical connections associated with the search objective user, the first computer selects users who used my computer in a use time of the search objective user, and executes the search request over the computers which established the logical connections associated with the selected users. The same search request is sequentially carried out over m candidates of the logical connection originator computer of my computer down to an m-th computer. Search results (a computer identifier of my computer and user identifiers of the selected users) obtained by the m computers are collected in the respective computers and returned to the logical connection destination computer in an order opposite to the search request order. With use of information widely obtained in a conventional manner, a connecting path from the logical connection originator computer to the logical connection destination computer can be searched.
