A turbocharger includes: a shaft; a rolling bearing including an inner ring mounted on the shaft and an outer ring arranged around the inner ring; a housing including a bearing hole accommodating the rolling bearing; a compressor impeller provided on the shaft at an outside the bearing hole; and an annular bearing retainer plate arranged between the bearing hole and the compressor impeller in the central axis direction of the shaft and including an end face facing a side face of the outer ring, the end face including an annular circumferential oil groove continuously extending along the entire circumferential direction of the shaft and a protrusion located inside the circumferential oil groove in a radial direction of the shaft and protruding in a central axis direction of the shaft.

A bearing includes: an annular main body through which a shaft is inserted; a plurality of oil supply grooves included on an inner curved surface of the main body and extending in an axial direction of the main body; a thrust bearing surface included on an end surface of the main body; a plurality of tapered portions included on the thrust bearing surface separated from an outer peripheral edge of the thrust bearing surface at intervals in a circumferential direction of the main body and communicating with the oil supply grooves, the tapered portions each becoming shallower as it extends in the circumferential direction; and an oil discharge groove included on the thrust bearing surface, passing through one tapered portion among the plurality of tapered portions, and connecting an oil supply groove and the outer peripheral edge.

The bearing structure includes an insertion member, which is inserted through a pin hole (insertion hole) of a bearing housing (housing) in a direction intersecting an axial direction of a shaft, has one end side inserted between a pair of radial bearing surfaces of a main body portion and another end side inserted through the insertion hole, and has a through hole passing from one end to another end.

A bearing structure includes: a bearing housing having a bearing hole to which an opening portion of an oil supply passage is opened; and a semi-floating bearing including: an annular main body portion, which is received in the bearing hole, and has a bearing surface formed on an inner peripheral surface thereof; and one or a plurality of oil-introducing holes, which are formed in the main body portion to penetrate from an outer peripheral surface of the main body portion to the inner peripheral surface of the main body portion. At least one of the one or the plurality of oil-introducing holes is partially or entirely opposed to the opening portion of the oil supply passage, and is formed into a special hole in which a length in a rotation direction of a shaft is larger than a length in an axial direction of the shaft.

A multi-arc bearing includes: a bearing surface a cross-sectional shape of which perpendicular to an axial direction of a shaft includes a plurality of arcs; and an oil supply groove provided on the bearing surface and extending in the axial direction of the shaft, the oil supply groove having a bearing clearance at a front side end portion in a rotation direction of the shaft smaller than a bearing clearance at a rear side end portion in the rotation direction.
