A processing device includes a support table to support a sheet medium, a sheet cutter to cut the medium supported on the support table, a cutter holder to move the sheet cutter in a toward-away direction in which the sheet cutter moves toward and away from the support table, and a cutter transporter to move the cutter holder in a cutting direction that is orthogonal to a transport direction of the medium. The cutter holder includes a holder movable in the toward-away direction and that holds the sheet cutter, an actuator including a rod that extends or retracts, a link connected to the rod and the holder, and a rotation shaft that rotatably supports the link so that the holder moves in the toward-away direction in response to extension or retraction of the rod.

An inkjet printer includes a support table supporting a waste liquid tank and being displaceable in accordance with a weight of the waste liquid tank, a first sensor to detect that the support table has reached a first position, a second sensor to detect that the support table has reached a second position, a first determinator to determine that the waste liquid tank is in a near-end state when the support table is detected by the first sensor to have reached the first position, and a notifier to notify a user of the near-end state when the first determinator determines that the waste liquid tank is in the near-end state.

A printer includes a first guide disposed downstream of a platen in a sub-scanning direction to guide movement of a recording medium, a second guide disposed below the first guide and downstream of the first guide in the sub-scanning direction to guide movement of the recording medium, and a dryer facing the first guide and the second guide to send air toward the recording medium. The dryer includes a body case including an outlet port that is open toward the second guide, a fan to send air toward the recording medium through the outlet port, and a heater to heat air sent by the fan. The first guide has a thermal conductivity higher than a thermal conductivity of the second guide.

A keyboard device for a keyboard instrument, capable of obtaining excellent touch feeling and stable key stroke without giving sponge feeling or unpleasant vibration during key depression. The keyboard device includes a keyboard chassis, keys pivotally supported on the chassis, hammers swingably supported on the chassis and swinging along with key depression, a hammer upper limit stopper provided on a chassis rear end and contacted by a hammer rear end from below during key depression, and a key lower limit stopper provided on a chassis front end and contacted by front ends of the keys from above during key depression. The hammer upper limit stopper has predetermined flexibility that allows deformation of the hammer upper limit stopper such that after contact of a hammer during key depression, an associated key reaches its lowest position in a state in contact with the key lower limit stopper.

A printer includes a supporting table to support a recording medium, a recording head located above the supporting table to eject ink toward the supporting table, a first contact detector located above the supporting table and lower than the recording head, an oscillator to vibrate the first contact detector, and a vibration detector to detect vibration of the first contact detector and transmit a signal corresponding to the detected vibration. The printer stores a threshold related to the vibration of the first contact detector and determines that an object has come into contact with the first contact detector when an amount of the vibration detected by the vibration detector is equal to the threshold or less.

A keyboard device for a keyboard instrument, capable of largely reducing noise generated when a hammer contacts a lower limit stopper during key release immediately after key depression. The keyboard device includes a keyboard chassis disposed on a keybed, keys pivotally supported on the chassis, hammers pivotally supported on the chassis below the keys and each vertically pivotally moved, an intermediate rail mounted on the chassis below a rotational shaft of the hammers and its vicinity in a state floating from the keybed, and a lower limit stopper mounted on the intermediate rail, such that each hammer is placed thereon via its placement-contact portion when in a key-released state and contacts the same from above via the placement-contact portion when pivotally moving downward in accordance with key release after being moved upward by key depression, whereby further pivotal motion of the hammer is stopped.

A printer can comprise a supporting wall that extends in a primary scanning direction, a table that is positioned lower than the supporting wall and that is structured so as to be able to move in a secondary scanning direction, a guide rail equipped on the supporting wall that extends in the primary scanning direction, a head carriage that is provided slidably on the guide rail and that can move in the primary scanning direction, an ink head mounted on the head carriage, and a partitioning wall that is positioned lower than the supporting wall and to a side of the table in the primary scanning direction and that extends in the secondary scanning direction and the vertical direction. When the table is positioned at the maximally downstream position along the secondary scanning direction, the upstream end portion of the table is positioned further downstream of the supporting wall and further upstream than the downstream end portion of the partitioning wall.

A keyboard device for an electronic keyboard instrument, capable of suppressing bouncing of a hammer returning to its original position. A key extends in a front-rear direction swingably about a balance rail pin. The hammer is formed vertically pivotally movable between initial and pivotally-moved positions about a hammer fulcrum provided near a rear end of the key and is placed on the key via a key contact portion in contact with a rear end of upper surface of the key from above, for pivotal motion by swinging of the key. A hammer cushion is provided on upper surface of the key at a predetermined location forward of the key contact portion to suppress bouncing of the hammer by contact with a cushion contact portion of the hammer returning from the pivotally-moved position to the initial position by releasing the key depression.

A printer includes a first cartridge holder including a first insertion port in which a first ink cartridge housing a first ink pack charged with a sedimentation ink is inserted and which is open horizontally, the first cartridge holder housing the inserted first ink cartridge, a first shaft pivotably supporting the first cartridge holder, a first driving mechanism that causes the first cartridge holder to pivot about the first shaft, and a controller that controls the first driving mechanism. The controller includes a first controller that controls the first driving mechanism to cause the first cartridge holder to pivot and agitate the sedimentation ink contained in the first ink pack.

Ink jet recording apparatus

A printer capable includes a pivot mechanism that causes a first ink cartridge housing a first ink pack containing sedimentation ink to pivot. A controller includes a memory storing first data defining a relationship between a determined ink agitation degree and a pivot angle of the ink cartridge from an initial position, an angle determiner that determines a pivot angle based on the determined ink agitation degree and the first data, and a first controller that controls the pivot mechanism to cause the first ink cartridge to pivot by the determined pivot angle and move to a pivot position, and then cause the first ink cartridge to pivot in the opposite direction and return to the initial position. A first pivot angle when the ink agitation degree is less than a first value is smaller than a second pivot angle when the ink agitation degree is the first value or more.

A printer includes a head that injects a liquid, a cleaning mechanism, a waste liquid path, a waste liquid tank that is detachably attached and collects waste liquid, a displaceable member that is displaced to a first position when the waste liquid tank is attached and is displaced to a second position when the waste liquid tank is detached, a liquid receiving portion that is provided on the displaceable member and is located directly below an outlet of the waste liquid path when the waste liquid tank is not attached, a detection target that is provided on the displaceable member and moves together with the displaceable member, and a sensor that detects the detection target.

A keyboard device for an electronic keyboard instrument, making uniform an upper surface height of the rear end of each key in contact with a hammer in a key-released state. The keyboard device includes longitudinally extending wooden keys capable of swinging and laterally juxtaposed, a hammer support disposed rearward of the keys, longitudinally extending hammers having a rear end thereof supported by the hammer support vertically pivotally movably and a protrusion protruding downward from a lower surface thereof for contact with a rear end of an associated key, and hammer contact height-regulating parts each made of a synthetic resin and mounted on the rear end of each key, the part being in contact with the protrusion in the key-released state, to regulate a contact height of the protrusion to a predetermined height.

A key guide structure for a keyboard instrument, which is capable of stably and appropriately guiding a key pivotally moved by key depression without generating noise. The key guide structure has guide holders each erected below a guide recess of each key, and guide members mounted to tops of the guide holders, respectively, each for sliding contact with lateral inner side surfaces of the recess. Each guide member includes a body disposed between the lateral inner side surfaces of the recess with a predetermined clearance, two lateral flexible portions laterally flexible and extending from lateral ends of a front or rear surface of the body in a manner protruding in a front-rear direction, and two lateral contact portions which are provided at front ends of the flexible portions in a manner protruding sideward and are in contact with the lateral inner side surfaces of the recess.

Key guide structure for keyboard instrument

A hammer device of an electronic piano with keys which swing in accordance with key depression, includes a hammer support that is made of a synthetic resin and has a fulcrum shaft, and a hammer having a shaft hole part for being fitted on the fulcrum shaft and configured to pivotally move about the fulcrum shaft in a manner interlocked with the swinging key. The fulcrum shaft has an outer peripheral surface formed by a pair of arcuately-curved surface portions opposite to each other and a pair of planar surface portions each extending between the pair of arcuately-curved surface portions and parallel to each other.

A hammer device for a keyboard instrument, enabling improvement of efficiency and yield, in manufacturing weights to be attached to each hammer body while suppressing an increase in manufacturing cost. Each hammer includes a hammer body having a weight mounting portion, a common weight attached to one of left and right side surfaces of the weight mounting portion, and an adjustment weight having a length set according to a touch weight required by the associated key and attached to the other of the left and right side surfaces of the weight mounting portion.
