A winding device is capable of easily moving a flange portion to a position corresponding to a width of a continuous medium. A winding device that winds a print medium, the winding device including a winding shaft, a winding core portion that is provided to be rotatable on the winding shaft and that winds a continuous medium, a first flange portion that is provided on the winding shaft to be movable in an extending direction of the winding shaft and that guides the continuous medium wound around the winding core portion in a width direction of the continuous medium, a flange-side engaging portion capable of moving integrally with the first flange portion, and a flange moving section that includes a cylindrical cam provided with a cam-side engaging portion that engages with the flange-side engaging portion and that moves the first flange portion to a plurality of flange positions.

A tape printing device or the like in which the loading of a tape cartridge can be detected and in which the misalignment of the loaded tape cartridge can be restrained at the same time, is provided. A tape printing device includes: a cartridge loading section in which a tape cartridge is loaded in an unloadable manner; a push switch which is provided in the cartridge loading section and detects the loaded tape cartridge. The push switch has a stem which is energized in a protruding direction by a build-in spring, and the stem in an actuated state energizes the loaded tape cartridge in a direction intersecting with a loading direction.

A tape cartridge is detachably installed on a tape printing apparatus provided with a detection portion which detects attribute information of the tape cartridge installed on a cartridge installation portion on which the tape cartridge is installed. The tape cartridge includes a wound printing tape and a core shaft. In the tape cartridge, the core shaft is positioned at an inner peripheral side of the wound printing tape, and the core shaft includes a detection object which faces the detection portion when the tape cartridge is installed on the tape printing apparatus.

A tape printing apparatus or the like is provided, in which both smoothness and high positioning accuracy can be realized when a tape cartridge is attached and detached. The tape printing apparatus includes a cartridge mounting portion on which a tape cartridge having a core shaft portion disposed on an inner peripheral side of a wound print tape is detachably mounted, a positioning protrusion portion which protrudes from the cartridge mounting portion and engages with an inner peripheral portion of the core shaft portion of the mounted tape cartridge, and a plurality of conductive contactors which are provided in the positioning protrusion portion, in which the plurality of conductive contactors are equally disposed in a peripheral direction in the positioning protrusion portion, and bias an inner peripheral surface of the engaged core shaft portion toward the outside in a radial direction.
