A printing apparatus includes a printing head discharging ink onto a recording medium, a recording medium support unit supporting the recording medium by a support surface, an air intake unit sucking air from suction holes, and a suction region alteration unit. The suction region alteration unit includes a first guide member and a second guide member disposed side by side, a first mobile body movable along the first guide member, a second mobile body movable along the second guide member, a synchronization mechanism synchronizing the movement of the first mobile body and the movement of the second mobile body, a first blocking structure movable together with the first mobile body and the second mobile body and including a first sheet having flexibility, and a first accommodation unit accommodating at least a portion of the first sheet.

Printing apparatus

A powder collection unit includes a powder storage having an inlet through which powder including fibers enters and an outlet through which the powder exits, a delivery screw having an elongated shape, disposed in the powder storage, and configured to rotate about a rotation axis to send out and discharge the powder through the outlet, and a powder collection portion coupled to the outlet and having an inner space that collects the powder discharged through the outlet. An end portion of the delivery screw that is adjacent to the outlet protrudes outwardly from the powder storage through the outlet and resides in the inner space of the powder collection portion.

A dust collecting device includes a cylindrical filter, a backwash auxiliary member that is disposed at an end portion of the filter and of which at least a part is disposed in a cylinder of the filter, and an air current generation unit that generates a backwash air current that passes through the backwash auxiliary member and flows into the cylinder of the filter, in which the backwash auxiliary member includes a rectification unit that extends spirally in an axial direction of a center axis of the filter.

A roll paper supplying device and a recording apparatus include an unwinding shaft and a bearing that support a roll having a roll paper wound around a core in a manner that the roll paper can be fed out from the roll, a fixed braking section and a movable braking section that is configured to come into contact with an outer peripheral end face of the roll and brake a rotation of the roll in feeding out of the roll paper, and a radial direction movement section that is configured to move the fixed braking section and the movable braking section in a radial direction of the roll according to a diameter of the roll which decreases as the roll paper is fed out.

A liquid-suctioning tank includes a liquid inflow port, a gas outflow port, a baffle plate and a guide member. The liquid inflow port communicates with an upper space of a surface of a liquid, and configured and arranged to be connected to a liquid-suctioning object. The gas outflow port communicates with the upper space, and configured and arranged to be connected to a suctioning device so that a negative pressure is applied to the upper space by the suctioning device to trap liquid from the liquid-suctioning object using suction. The baffle plate is disposed in the upper space so that the liquid flowing from the liquid inflow port collides against the baffle plate. The guide member has a guiding wall configured and arranged to guide the liquid that has collided with the baffle plate from the baffle plate toward the surface of the liquid.
