The positive electrode current collector includes an aluminum foil and an aluminum hydrated oxide film. The aluminum hydrated oxide film covers a surface of the aluminum foil. The aluminum hydrated oxide film has a thickness not smaller than 50 nm and not greater than 500 nm. The aluminum hydrated oxide film contains a plurality of types of aluminum hydrated oxides. The ratio of boehmite to the plurality of types of aluminum hydrated oxides is not lower than 20 mol % and not higher than 80 mol %.

Positive electrode, non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery, and method of producing positive electrode

A nonaqueous battery includes a positive electrode and a negative electrode. At least one of the positive electrode and the negative electrode includes a current collector, an intermediate layer, and an active material layer. The intermediate layer is interposed between the current collector and the active material layer and includes graphite particles and insulating particles. In a cross section of the intermediate layer in a thickness direction, a major axis diameter of the graphite particles is equal to or greater than the thickness of the intermediate layer. In X-ray diffraction measurement of the intermediate layer by an out-of-plane method, a ratio of an intensity of an 110 diffraction line of a graphite crystal to an intensity of a 002 diffraction line of the graphite crystal is 0.0011 or more.

Nonaqueous battery and method of producing the same

A positive electrode includes at least a positive electrode current collector and a positive electrode active material layer. The positive electrode active material layer is formed on a surface of the positive electrode current collector. The positive electrode current collector includes an aluminum foil and a porous film. The porous film covers a surface of the aluminum foil. The porous film contains at least aluminum oxide. The porous film has a thickness not smaller than 10 nm and not greater than 800 nm. The porous film has a dynamic hardness not lower than 5 and not higher than 200.

Positive electrode, lithium-ion secondary battery, and method of producing positive electrode

A positive electrode includes at least a positive electrode current collector, a conductive material, and a positive electrode active material. The positive electrode active material is disposed on a surface of the positive electrode current collector. The positive electrode current collector includes an aluminum foil and an aluminum oxide hydrate film. The aluminum oxide hydrate film covers a surface of the aluminum foil. The aluminum oxide hydrate film has a thickness not smaller than 10 nm and not greater than 500 nm. The aluminum oxide hydrate film has a porosity not lower than 10% and not higher than 50%. A battery includes an electrode plate group. The electrode plate group includes electrode plates and a separator. The electrode plate group is obtained by laminating a plurality of electrode plates. The separator is disposed between the electrode plates. A surface of at least one of the electrode plates is a particle layer. A surface of the separator is a nonwoven fabric layer. The particle layer includes fibrous particles. The particle layer and the nonwoven fabric layer are in contact with each other.

The positive electrode current collector includes an aluminum foil and an aluminum hydrated oxide film. The aluminum hydrated oxide film covers a surface of the aluminum foil. The positive electrode active material layer is formed on a surface of the aluminum hydrated oxide film. The aluminum hydrated oxide film has a thickness not smaller than 50 nm and not greater than 1000 nm. The aluminum hydrated oxide film contains at least one selected from the group consisting of phosphorus, fluorine, and sulfur.

A separator is for a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery. The separator includes at least a porous film. The porous film contains a resin composition. The resin composition contains a thermoplastic resin and metal hydroxide particles.

A method of manufacturing an electrode body includes a charging step, a first laminating step, and a second laminating step to manufacture the electrode body by laminating positive and negative electrode plates by interposing a separator therebetween. In the charging step, one of the positive and negative electrode plates is a first electrode plate and an other one is a second electrode plate, and one of the first electrode plate and the separator is charged to a potential enough to generate an attraction force between the first electrode plate and the separator. The first laminating step includes bringing the first electrode plate and the separator, at least one of which is charged, into direct contact to attach each other to form a laminated body. In the second charging step, the second electrode plate is laminated on the laminated body to form the electrode body.

Manufacturing method of electrode body and electrode body

A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery includes at least a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a separator, and a non-aqueous electrolyte. The positive electrode includes a positive electrode current collector, a protection layer, and a positive electrode composite material layer. The protection layer, arranged between the positive electrode current collector and positive electrode composite material layer, includes at least a first and second protection layer. The first protection layer, arranged on a surface of the positive electrode current collector, contains a first conductive material and a first resin being a non-thermoplastic polyimide resin. The second protection layer, arranged on a surface of the first protection layer, contains at least a second conductive material and a resin A being a thermoplastic resin. A melting point of the resin A is lower than a thermal decomposition temperature of the first resin. The resin A is greater in expansion coefficient than the first resin.

Non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery

A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery includes at least an electrode composite material layer, an intermediate layer, and an electrode current collector. Intermediate layer is interposed between electrode composite material layer and electrode current collector. Intermediate layer contains at least insulating particles and conductive particles. Each insulating particle has an arc shape in a cross section of intermediate layer along a thickness direction. More conductive particles are present on an outer-circumference side of each arc shape than on an inner-circumference side of the arc shape.

Non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery and method of producing the same

A nonaqueous battery includes a current collector that supports an electrode active material. The current collector includes a first layer, a second layer and a third layer. The second layer is interposed between the first layer and the third layer. The second layer includes 0.3 mass % or more and 1 mass % or less of magnesium and 0.2 mass % or more and 0.9 mass % or less of silicon, with a remainder being made up of aluminum. The first layer and the third layer constitute outer surfaces of the current collector. The first layer and the third layer each include 99.3 mass % or more of aluminum. In both of the first layer and the third layer, there is less than 0.3 mass % of magnesium and less than 0.2 mass % of silicon.

Nonaqueous battery

A positive electrode plate includes a positive electrode composite material layer. The positive electrode composite material layer contains at least a positive electrode active material and a flame retardant. The flame retardant contains phosphorus (P) or sulfur (S). The flame retardant has a thermal decomposition temperature not lower than 80&#xb0; C. and not higher than 210&#xb0; C. A value calculated by dividing a porosity (%) of the positive electrode composite material layer by an amount (mass %) of P and S contained in the positive electrode composite material layer is not smaller than 5 and not greater than 5000.

Positive electrode plate and non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery

The present invention provides a sealed nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery which is equipped with a current interrupt device that is actuated by a rise in internal pressure of a battery case and in which the current interrupt device is actuated in a speedy and stable manner during an overcharge. In the sealed nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, an electrode body formed by a positive electrodeand a negative electrode that oppose each other via a separator, an electrolyte, and an overcharge inhibitor are housed in the battery case. The positive electrodeincludes a positive electrode current collectorand a positive electrode active material layerwhich is formed on the current collector and which mainly contains a positive electrode active material. In addition, a conductive material layerwhich mainly contains a conductive material is formed between the positive electrode active material layerand the separator. A porosity of the conductive material layeris 35% or more and 55% or less.

Sealed nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery

A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery includes: a positive electrode plate; a negative electrode plate; and a separator disposed between the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate. The separator includes a porous resin layer. The porous resin layer is made of polyolefin having a melting point of 80&#xb0; C. or more and 135&#xb0; C. or less. At least one of the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate has a surface facing the porous resin layer. The surface forms a contact angle of 30&#xb0; or more with a molten droplet of the polyolefin.

A separator includes a substrate layer made of a resin and a heat resistance layer. The heat resistance layer contains heat-resistant fine particles and a binder. An amount of the binder contained per unit volume in the heat resistance layer positioned at an end portion in a width direction perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of the separator is higher than the amount of the binder contained per unit volume in the heat resistance layer () positioned at a center portion which includes the center in the width direction of the separator. In the heat resistance layer at the end portion, the amount of the binder contained per unit volume in a substrate layer side region is higher than the amount of the binder contained per unit volume in a surface region which includes a surface of the heat resistance layer.
