An oil-based eyelash cosmetic including 22 to 50% by mass of a wax (A) containing a wax having a melting point of 50&#xb0; C. to less than 70&#xb0; C. (A-1) and a wax having a melting point of 70&#xb0; C. to 110&#xb0; C. (A-2), 0.1 to 10% by mass of a nonionic surfactant having an HLB value of 6 to 12 (B), 20 to 70% by mass of a volatile oil (C) and 0 to 5% by mass of water (E), and having the ratio by mass of the component (A-1) to the component (A-2) [(A-1)/(A-2)] of 1/0.2 to 1/5, is excellent in removability by warm water as well as volume effect, curling effect and long-lasting performance of cosmetic effect such as water resistance.

Oil-based eyelash cosmetic and cosmetic method

A cosmetic material comprises (A) a hydrophobic powder; (B) a carboxylic acid modified silicone; (C) a basic compound; and (D) water. The (A) hydrophobic powder is generally dispersed in an aqueous phase of the cosmetic material. The cosmetic material can provide a refreshing sense of feel during use, and can form a cosmetic film with excellent water resistance on the skin.

Provided is a cosmetic in the form of an oil-in-water emulsion unckuding (A) a salt of higher fatty acid component containing a liquid higher fatty acid and (B) an oil-soluble ultraviolet absorber, being substantially free of a hydrophilic surfactant other than the (A) component and having a pH of 7.1 to 9.5 and a method for production thereof. The cosmetic having ultraviolet protection efficacy is excellent in fresh feel, water resistance and rinsability using water with soap when applied to the skin and storage stability. The cosmetic is suitable for sunscreen cosmetics and is also useful for makeup cosmetics such as foundation and makeup base, skin care cosmetics such as milky lotion, cream and serum and hair cosmetics.

Oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic and method for producing same

A portable telephone apparatus includes a reference frequency generating section capable of suitably changing frequency accuracy of an output signal in accordance with an input control voltage, and a high-accurate reference frequency generating section having accuracy for a temperature change extremely higher than that of the reference frequency generating section and in which output frequency accuracy thereof changes only within a range of prescribed values. A determination device determines whether or not frequency accuracy of an output signal from the reference frequency generating section meets the prescribed value. A selector selects an output signal from the reference frequency generating section in a case that a determination result of the determination device meets the prescribed value, and selects an output signal from the high-accurate reference frequency generating section in a case that a determination result of the determination device does not meet the prescribed value.
