A ceramic electronic component includes a ferrite material magnetic body part and a Cu conductive part, the ferrite containing 20 to 48% trivalent Fe in terms of FeOand divalent Ni. The ferrite can contain Mn so that it is less than 50% of the total of Fe and Mn in terms of MnOand FeO. The magnetic and conductive parts are co-fired at a pressure not exceeding the equilibrium oxygen partial pressure of Cu&#x2014;CuO thereby ensuring insulating performance and favorable electrical characteristics.

A laminated coil component includes a magnetic body part made of a Ni&#x2014;Zn-based ferrite material and a coil conductor containing Cu as a main component, which is wound into a coil shape, and the coil conductor is embedded in the magnetic body part to form a component base. The component base is divided into a first region near the coil conductor and a second region other than the first region. The grain size ratio of the average crystal grain size of the magnetic body part in the first region to the average crystal grain size of the magnetic body part in the second region is 0.85 or less. The molar content of CuO in the ferrite raw material is set to 6 mol % or less, and firing is performed in a reducing atmosphere in which the oxygen partial pressure is an equilibrium oxygen partial pressure of Cu&#x2014;CuO or less.

Laminated coil component

A coil conductor and a via electrode placed away from the coil conductor are embedded in a magnetic layer. The magnetic layer is sandwiched between a pair of non-magnetic layers. The coil conductor and the via electrode are formed from a conductive material containing Cu as its main constituent, and the magnetic layer is formed from Ni&#x2014;Mn&#x2014;Zn ferrite where the CuO molar content is 5 mol % or less, and (x, y) falls within the range of A (25, 1), B (47, 1), C (47, 7.5), D (45, 7.5), E (45, 10), F (35, 10), G (35, 7.5), and H (25, 7.5) when the molar content x of FeOand the molar content y of MnOare represented by (x, y). Thus, insulation properties can be ensured, favorable electrical characteristics can be achieved, and a ceramic electronic component is achieved which is able to be reduced in size.

Ferrite ceramic composition, ceramic electronic component, and method for producing ceramic electronic component

A ceramic electronic component includes a magnetic section composed of a ferrite material and a coil conductor containing Cu as its main constituent. The magnetic section is formed from Ni&#x2014;Cu&#x2014;Zn ferrite which falls within the range specified by (x, y)=A (25, 1), B (47, 1), C (47, 7.5), D (46, 7.5), E (46, 10), F (30, 10), G (30, 7.5), and H (25, 7.5) when the molar content x of FeOand the molar content y of MnOare represented by (x, y). A CuO molar content of 0.5 to 10.0 mol %, a ZnO content of 1.0 to 35.0 mol %, a MgO content of 5.0 to 35.0 mol %, and NiO as the balance is present. Even when co-firing with a conductive material containing Cu as its main constituent, insulation properties are ensured, favorable electrical properties are achieved, and a ceramic electronic component is achieved.

Ferrite ceramic composition, ceramic electronic component, and method for manufacturing ceramic electronic component

There is provided a common mode choke coil in which a non-magnetic layer and a second magnetic layer stacked on a first magnetic layer and two facing conductive coils are included in the non-magnetic layer, the non-magnetic layer is formed of sintered glass ceramics, the conductive coils and are formed of a conductor containing copper, and at least one of the first magnetic layer and the second magnetic layer is formed of a sintered ferrite material containing FeO, MnO, NiO, ZnO and CuO. The sintered ferrite material has an FeO-reduced content of 25 to 47 mol % and a MnO-reduced content of 1 to 7.5 mol %, or FeO-reduced content of 35 to 45 mol % and a MnO-reduced content of 7.5 to 10 mol %, and a CuO reduced content of 5 mol %.

Common mode choke coil and method for manufacturing the same

The disclosure provides a method for producing an electronic component in which the oxidation of Cu constituting an internal conductor part of the component is inhibited or prevented in a firing step, and even when a magnetic body part containing NiO, ZnO, FeO, etc. is reduced in the firing step, the magnetic body part is subsequently oxidized to ensure the original characteristics. In producing the electronic component, an unfired laminated body including parts to serve as the magnetic body part and the internal conductor part after firing is subjected to firing in an atmosphere with an oxygen concentration equal to or lower than the equilibrium oxygen partial pressure of Cu&#x2014;CuO, and the fired laminated body is then subjected to an oxygenic-atmosphere heat treatment in an atmosphere with an oxygen concentration of 0.01% or more in a step of decreasing the temperature.

An open magnetic circuit multilayer coil component includes a laminate with magnetic layers, a coil, and a nonmagnetic layer provided within the laminate so as to cross a magnetic path formed by energization of the coil. A nonmagnetic material constituting the nonmagnetic layer is a Zn&#x2014;Cu-based ferrite nonmagnetic material, and a magnetic material constituting the magnetic layer is a magnetic material containing 100 parts by weight of an Ni&#x2014;Zn&#x2014;Cu-based magnetic ferrite material and 0.1 to 2.0 parts by weight, in terms of CoO, of Co added to the Ni&#x2014;Zn&#x2014;Cu-based magnetic ferrite material.

A magnetic tape which is run at a speed of 4 m/sec. or higher and has recording tracks with a width of 21 &#x3bc;m or less, and which includes a non-magnetic support, at least one magnetic layer formed on one surface of the non-magnetic support, and a backcoat layer formed on the other surface of the non-magnetic support, wherein servo signals for controlling tracking are recorded on the magnetic layer or the backcoat layer, the value of (&#x3b1;/W)&#xd7;(V/f) is 10 [s] or less, and/or the value of (&#x3b1;/W) is 0.1 or less, wherein V [mm/sec.] is a tape-running speed is; &#x3b1; [&#x3bc;m] is an amount of a weave with a cycle of f [mm] on one edge of the tape or the other edge thereof as the reference side for the running of the tape; and W [&#x3bc;m] is a width of the recording track. The magnetic tape can decrease PES and off-track and thus is excellent in servo tracking performance.

A laminated electronic component includes a composite obtained by integrally sintering a plurality of laminated magnetic layers, internal conductors being formed in the interior of the composite. The internal conductor and the magnetic layers constitute a plurality of inductance elements, or an inductance element and a capacitance element. The magnetic layer has a composition containing a primary component comprising 45 to 50 mole percent Fe O , 0 to 33 mole percent ZnO, and 6 to 20 mole percent CuO, and the balance being NiO, and a Mn compound wherein the Mn compound is contained in an amount of 0.01 to 2.0 weight percent as MnO in the composition.
