A primer composition is provided that includes a reactant having an alkoxysilyl group, the reactant being obtained by reacting a polyisocyanate (I), an isocyanate group, and an alkoxysilane having a reactable functional group; a polyisocyanate (II); a polyurethane compound; a (meth) acrylic resin; and a solvent. In the primer composition, a molecular weight of the (meth) acrylic resin is from 15,000 to 150,000 and a weight ratio [(meth) acrylic resin/polyurethane compound] of the (meth) acrylic resin to the polyurethane compound is from 90/10 to 10/90. Additionally, a laminate is provided that includes an inorganic material and a primer layer obtained from the primer composition.

Primer composition and laminate using the same

A composite of glass and hot melt composition including glass; a primer layer formed on the glass using a primer containing a film forming resin and at least one alkoxysilyl group-containing compound selected from the group consisting of isocyanate silane and a reaction product of aminosilane and epoxysilane; and a hot melt layer formed on the primer layer using a hot melt composition containing an aromatic polyester (a), and its production method are provided. The resulting composite of glass and hot melt composition is excellent in water-resistant adhesion to glass.

Primer composition

An adhesion promoter for a primer, comprising a silane compound that is a reaction product between a polyisocyanate and a silane coupling agent having a secondary amino group, the nitrogen atom of which is directly connected to a phenyl group or a derivative thereof, the silane compound having in average one or more NCO group and in average one or more hydrolyzable alkoxysilyl group in the molecule. Also, a primer composition comprising the adhesion promoter for a primer and a film forming resin is disclosed. The adhesion promoter has high adhesion to various adherends and retains that effect after prolonged storage and the primer composition is excellent in adhesion to various adherends and retains adhesion after prolonged storage.

A primer composition comprising: (A) 100 parts by weight of a reactive acrylic resin comprising a main chain composed of a copolymer of two types of alkylmethacrylates having different number of carbon atoms and a side chain having a group with a hydroxyl group and at least one aromatic ring; (B) 100 to 500 parts by weight of a silane compound obtained by reaction of an aminosilane having two amino groups with dialkoxyepoxysilane and trialkoxyepoxysilane at a predetermined ratio; (C) 10 to 300 parts by weight of an epoxy resin of bisphenol A type having an epoxy equivalent of 1,000 to 2,000 g/eq.; and (D) 100 to 500 parts by weigh of carbon black is provided. The composition is excellent in storage stability and can retain excellent adhesion during the time from the coating of the primer until the coating of a sealant and further is excellent in weatherability.

Silane-functionized acrylic primer composition

This invention is a one-component moisture curable polyurethane composition containing a urethane prepolymer and at least one silane compound containing an average of at least 1.5 NCO groups, and an average of at least 1.5 hydrolyzable alkoxy groups, selected from the group comprising a silane compounds (B-1) which is prepared by the addition reaction of a secondary aminoalkoxysilane compound and a polyol-based polyisocyanate compound, and a lysine-based silane compound (B-2). The Polyol-based polyisocyanate compound is a reaction product of a polyol more than triol and diisocyanate. The composition of the invention is particularly suitable for bonding glass to other substrates such as, for example, metal, plastics, and painted steel plates without employing a primer. Moreover, the composition has good foaming resistance, as well as good elongation.
