An in-vehicle battery system comprises: a battery; a relay for establishing or cutting off an electrical connection between the battery and an inverter; a plurality of switches respectively provided in a current path for switching the relay; and a battery control apparatus that supervises a status of the battery. The plurality of switches include a first switch provided in the battery control apparatus and a second switch provided in a vehicle control apparatus which controls traveling of the vehicle; the first switch and the second switch are serially connected to each other in the current path; the battery control apparatus controls a status of switching the first switch; and the vehicle control apparatus controls a status of switching the second switch.

Battery management unit

The invention is directed to provide a battery pack in which a current sensor is eliminated and the whole size is reduced. In order to solve the problem described above, a battery pack of the invention includes a battery group in which a plurality of battery cells (lithium ion battery) are connected in series, a resistor (bus bar) connected in series to the battery group, cell voltage detection lines (cell voltage detection linesto) arranged at both ends of the battery cells (lithium ion battery) and the resistor (bus bar), and a battery controller connected to the cell voltage detection lines (cell voltage detection linesto), in which one cell voltage detection line (cell voltage detection linesto) adjacent to the battery cell (lithium ion battery) includes a terminal which is branched and connected to the battery controller.

Battery control unit

Provided is an electromagnetic switch control device capable of stabilizing a contact pressure by predicting a near-future value of an operation coil current and performing control such that the near-future value does not fall below a holding current threshold value by a control unit. An electromagnetic switch control deviceopens and closesby an electromagnetic force corresponding to energization of operation coilsand, and includes PWM control unitstothat perform PWM pulse width modulation control of a current value A flowing through the operation coilsand. The PWM control unitstoestimate the near-future predicted current value flowing through the operation coilsandby using a terminal voltage V of the operation coilsand, and perform PWM control based on the estimated current value. The predicted current value Y is estimated by using an impedance Z of the operation coilsand. The impedance is a variable obtained by current values Aand Aand terminal voltages Vand Vof the operation coilsand, and a constant approximated over a predetermined period from a latest past to a present time is used. The impedance is updated for each predetermined period.

Electromagnetic switch control device

When a battery voltage of a battery cell is high, it takes time for a detected voltage to drop to a fixed threshold. Therefore, an ON control of a switch element takes long time to detect a disconnection state reliably. A battery monitoring system includes: a monitoring circuit corresponding to an assembled battery having a plurality of battery cells and which monitors states of the battery cells; voltage detection lines which are provided corresponding to the battery cells and which connect the battery cells with the monitoring circuit; and switch elements which are provided between the voltage detection lines and which adjust voltages of the battery cells, the battery monitoring system compares battery voltages of the adjacent battery cells with a varying threshold determined based on a voltage just before checking a disconnection state and detects disconnection states of the voltage detection lines according to the comparison result.

Battery monitoring system

Disconnection of a circulation path through which a circulation current flows is detected while suppressing an increase in circuit scale. A battery monitoring device includes switching circuits that control currents flowing through coils of main contactors by being controlled to be turned on and off, freewheeling diodes that are connected to the coils of the main contactors to form circulation paths for circulating the currents, and a control unit. The control unit measures output voltages of the freewheeling diodes at an input terminal, and detects the disconnection of the circulation paths based on the output voltages of the freewheeling diodes.

Load control device having multiple terminals and a clamp circuit connected therebetween

A storage battery monitoring device includes a pair of measurement lines connected respectively to a pair of voltage detection lines connected respectively to a positive and a negative electrode of a rechargeable battery, a pair of adjustment lines connected respectively to the pair of voltage detection lines in parallel with the measurement lines, a first capacitive element connected between the pair of measurement lines, a second capacitive element connected between the pair of adjustment lines, and a switch connected across the second capacitive element. Capacitance values of the first and second capacitive elements are set such that a voltage between the pair of measurement lines continues changing after closing the switch and then opening the switch after a lapse of a predetermined short-circuit time if the voltage detection line is broken.

Storage battery monitoring device with wiring disconnection detection

A battery monitoring and control integrated circuit is connected to a cell group having a plurality of series-connected single cells for monitoring and controlling the single cells, and includes: a first start input terminal for connecting to a DC signal generation circuit which generates a DC signal based on an AC start signal input from the outside; a start detection unit which detects the DC signal and activates the battery monitoring and control integrated circuit; and a start output unit which outputs the AC start signal to the outside after the activation of the battery monitoring and control integrated circuit.

A battery control system connected to a battery equipped with an explosion-proofing mechanism for cutting off an electric current when the battery enters an overcharge state, including: a cell voltage detection unit that detects voltage at the battery; a storage unit that stores information pertaining to the battery conditions; an overcharge decision-making unit that makes a decision as to whether or not the battery is in an overcharge state; a storage control unit that engages the storage unit to store information pertaining to the overcharge state when the overcharge decision-making unit decides that the battery is in an overcharge state; and an explosion-proofing decision-making unit that decides that the explosion-proofing mechanism in the battery has actuated if the overcharge information is stored in the storage unit and the cell voltage detected by the cell voltage detection unit is lower than a predetermined lower limit value.
