A connector has a plurality of terminals aligned in a left/right direction, and a housing that configures a space in which a flat cable can be inserted from a front side to a rear side and holds the terminals on an inside of the space. The housing has two locking convex portions positioned on the inside of the space and in the left/right direction of the terminals, protruding toward an upper side from a lower side, and that catch in notches or holes formed in the left and right sides of the cable. Finally, the housing has a biasing member that is positioned on the inside of the space, formed on an upper side of the space, arranged closer to a center in the left/right direction than the two locking convex portions, and that biases the cable inserted in the space toward a lower side of the space.

Connector for a flat cable

A connector may have a housing having a housing part housing a flat cable, and a mounting member mounted to the housing for locking the flat cable. The mounting member may have a mounting part mounted to at least one of the housing and a circuit board, an elastic part extending in a width direction of the flat cable, an extending part extending in the width direction of the flat cable, and an engaging part engaging with an engaged part formed on the flat cable. The mounting part may be connected to an end part in the width direction of the elastic part. An intermediate region of the extending part may be connected to an intermediate region in the width direction of the elastic part. The engaging part may be connected to an end part in the width direction of the extending part. The elastic part may be elastically deformable in a thickness direction of the flat cable.

Connector

A connector is provided which includes a stage having an arrangement surface for arranging the end portion of the flat cable, and an opposing portion formed so as to face the arrangement surface. An engaging protruding portion is formed in the arrangement surface for engaging the flat cable. The end portion of the flat cable is insertable from the front side to the rear side of the connector between the arrangement surface and the opposing portion. The opposing portion has an extending portion positioned in front of the engaging protruding portion, and an overhanging portion extending to the rear of a first section.
