A method is provided that allows the sulfur component concentration in gasoline to be estimated to high precision. The measuring method of the disclosure is a method of measuring the concentration of sulfur components in gasoline that contains sulfur components and aromatic components. The measuring method of the disclosure comprises: (A1) removing a portion of the gasoline by gasification to lower the proportion of the aromatic component concentration with respect to the sulfur component concentration in the gasoline, (A2) measuring values related to the refractive index of the gasoline, and (A3) measuring the sulfur component concentration in the gasoline based on the values related to the refractive index.

Method for estimating sulfur component concentration in gasoline

The waste heat recovery and dissipation apparatus incorporates a heat storage/dissipation material containing a new titanium oxide. When a pressure received by the heat storage/dissipation material from a coolant flowing through a flow channel is increased to a predetermined pressure PHR (about 60 MPa) or higher in a state where the crystal structure of the new titanium oxide is a &#x3bb;-phase, the heat stored in the heat storage/dissipation material is released to the coolant. When a temperature of the heat storage/dissipation material is increased to a predetermined temperature THS (about 460 K) or higher by the heat of exhaust gas flowing a gas flow channel in a state where the crystal structure of the new titanium oxide is &#x3b2;-phase, the heat of the exhaust gas is stored in the heat storage/dissipation material.

Internal combustion engine

A cooling device for an internal combustion engine includes a circulation path, a coolant temperature sensor, a coolant pump, and an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit is configured to execute processing for performing feedback control on power of the coolant pump such that the output of the coolant temperature sensor becomes a target temperature, micelle determination processing for determining whether or not micelles are added to a coolant based on pump work of the coolant pump and the flow rate of the coolant flowing through the circulation path, Toms determination processing for determining whether or not the flow rate of the coolant satisfies a Toms effect expression condition, and correction processing for increasing a relative value of the output of the coolant temperature sensor with respect to the target temperature when the micelles is added and the Toms effect expression condition is established.

Cooling device for internal combustion engine

A body of an oil jet is provided with: an oil supply port; a cylinder; and an oil injection port. A piston valve is accommodated in the cylinder. The piston valve forms in the cylinder a differential pressure room which is a closed compartment. In the piston valve, an orifice which makes the differential pressure room being communicated with a side of the oil supply port is formed. The piston valve is biased toward a position at which the oil injection port is closed by a spring. A first oil injection nozzle is connected to the oil injection port. A leak hole which allows oil to be leaked outside of the cylinder from the differential pressure room is open at the side surface of the cylinder. Further, a second oil injection nozzle is connected to the leak hole.

Oil jet

Provided is a sliding bearing that has a bearing inner peripheral surface covered by a resin overlay layer configured from a binder resin and a solid lubricant and/or hard substance, reduces the running-in time during an operation start, and can obtain the effect of increasing wear resistance and the effect of reducing friction. In the sliding bearing, halved members resulting from halving a cylinder parallel to the axial direction are disposed at the top and bottom, the inner peripheral surfaces of the top and bottom halved members are covered by a resin overlay layer configured from a binder resin and a solid lubricant and/or hard substance, and a fine groove is provided to an axial-direction end of the bottom halved member in the peripheral direction from the mating surface at the downstream side in the rotational direction to a predetermined bearing angle.

Sliding bearing

Provided is a slide bearing with which friction can be reduced and the total amount of effluent oil can be reduced. In the slide bearing in which the halved members made by dividing the cylinder in two in the direction parallel to the axial direction are disposed vertically, the narrow grooves are provided at an end of the lower halved member in the circumferential direction from a mating surface on a downstream side of a rotation direction to a predetermined bearing angle and peripheral edge parts are provided outside the narrow grooves in an axial direction.

Provided is a slide bearing with which friction-reducing effects are obtained and the total volume of effluent oil is limited. In a slide bearing an end of the narrow groove on a downstream side of the rotation direction is disposed at the position which is adjacent to a mating surface on the downstream side of the rotation direction and not communicated with the mating surface on the downstream side of the rotation direction and an end of the narrow groove on an upstream side of the rotation direction is disposed at the position which is the upstream side from the end on the downstream side of the rotation direction and is rotated by an angle no more than 90 degrees from the mating surface on the downstream side of the rotation direction.

Slide bearing

Provided is a slide bearing with which friction-reducing effects can be obtained and the total volume of effluent oil can be limited. A slide bearing in which halved members made by dividing a cylinder in two in a direction parallel to the axial are disposed vertically, wherein narrow grooves are provided at the ends of the slide bearing in the axial direction, the narrow grooves extending in the circumferential direction from the mating surface on the downstream side of the rotation direction to a specified bearing angle is an angle rotated in the range of &#x2267;0 degree to &#x2266;90 degrees from the mating surface on the downstream side in the rotation direction (bearing angle of 180 degrees) towards the upstream side in the rotation direction. In other words, the bearing angle is the range of 180 degrees to 270 degrees.

A body of an oil jet including: an oil supply port which opens into an oil passage in a cylinder block of an internal combustion engine; a cylinder one end of which is communicated with the oil supply port and the other end of which is closed; and an oil injection port which opens on a side surface of the cylinder. A piston valve is accommodated in the cylinder. The piston valve forms in the cylinder a differential pressure room which is a closed compartment. Moreover, an orifice which makes the differential pressure room being communicated with a side of the oil supply port is formed in the piston valve. The piston valve is biased toward a position at which the oil injection port is closed by a spring. Furthermore, a leak hole which allows oil to be leaked outside of the body from the differential pressure room is formed in the body.

A piston cooling jet includes a housing, a nozzle, a valve, a pressure chamber, a pressure adjusting passage, and a filter. The nozzle is provided to project outward from the housing, and capable of spraying oil toward a piston. The valve is capable of moving reciprocally inside the housing, and configured to receive a load due to a hydraulic pressure in an engine-side oil passage applied from a front side of the valve. The valve includes a valve-side oil passage that communicates with the engine-side oil passage. The pressure chamber communicates with the valve-side oil passage. The pressure adjusting passage is disposed between the pressure chamber and a space outside the housing. The filter is disposed in the valve, and configured to remove foreign matter that cannot pass through the pressure adjusting passage from oil passing through the valve-side oil passage.
