There are provided a linearly polarized light reflection film that has a high visible light transmittance, is capable of increasing the brightness of a display image, and is highly transparent in terms of appearance tint, a windshield glass, and a head-up display system. The linearly polarized light reflection film has a selectively reflecting layer in which an optically anisotropic layer and an isotropic layer are laminated. The selectively reflecting layer has at least one first reflection peak having a reflection center wavelength of 430 nm or more and less than 500 nm and having a reflectivity of 10% or more and 20% or less, at least one second reflection peak having a reflection center wavelength of 530 nm or more and less than 600 nm and having a reflectivity of 10% or more and 20% or less, and a third reflection peak having a reflection center wavelength of 600 nm or more and 800 nm or less, where two or more reflection peaks are present with a reflectivity of 10% or more and 20% or less or one reflection peak is present with a reflectivity of 10% or more and 20% or less and a wavelength width of 120 nm or more.

Linearly polarized light reflection film, windshield glass, and head-up display system

An object is to provide a head-up display projector that uses a reflection member having a selective reflection layer and that can suppress the decrease in brightness of a projection image and the loss of color balance of a projection image even when the wavelength of a light beam has varied. The object is achieved by having: a light source for forming a projection image; and a reflection member having a selective reflection layer that reflects visible light and is constituted by two or more layers having selective reflection center wavelengths different from each other and an interference suppression layer that has a thickness of 10 μm or more, wherein in the reflection member, the interference suppression layer is located closer to the side on which light from the light source is incident than the selective reflection layer is.

Head-up display projector

Provided are a reflection film, which enables high visible light transmittance, an increase in the brightness of a display image, and favorable transparency of an external tint, a windshield glass, and a head-up display system. The reflection film includes a selective reflection layer formed of a cholesteric liquid crystal layer with a cholesteric liquid crystalline phase immobilized. In each of a wavelength range of 400 nm or more and less than 500 nm and a wavelength range of 500 nm or more and less than 600 nm, a maximum value of a natural light reflectivity is 10% to 25%, the greatest difference between the greatest maximum value and the smallest minimum value of the natural light reflectivity is 3% or more, and a total value of wavelength bandwidths in a region where a reflectivity is higher than an average value of the maximum value and the minimum value of the natural light reflectivity is 20 nm to 80 nm. In a wavelength range of 600 nm or more and 800 nm or less, a maximum value of a natural light reflectivity is 10% to 25%, and a total value of wavelength bandwidths in a region where a reflectivity is higher than an average value of the maximum value and the minimum value of the natural light reflectivity is 120 nm or more.

Reflection film, windshield glass, and head-up display system

It is an object of the present invention to provide a projection image-displaying member having excellent suitability for polarizing sunglasses, a windshield glass, and a head-up display system. The projection image-displaying member has a first polarization converting layer, at least one selectively reflecting layer, and a second polarization converting layer in this order. The first polarization converting layer and the second polarization converting layer are layers formed by fixing a helical alignment structure of a liquid crystal compound. The number of pitches in the helical alignment structure and a film thickness satisfy all relational expressions below. When the first polarization converting layer has a number of pitches xand a film thickness y(unit: μm),0.3≤≤2.0 and  (i)≥1.86+0.13.  (ii) When the second polarization converting layer has a number of pitches xand a film thickness y(unit: μm),0.25≤≤2.0,  (iii)≤1.37+5.5, and  (iv)≥1.37+0.25.  (v)

Projection image-displaying member, windshield glass, and head-up display system

Provided are a projection image display member having a high visible light transmittance, suppressing a double image of a display image, and having excellent suitability of polarized sunglasses for incident light reflected from external light, a windshield glass using the projection image display member, and a head-up display system. The problem is solved such that one or more phase difference layers, one or more selective reflection layers, and one or more polarization conversion layers are provided in this order, the polarization conversion layer being a layer in which a helical alignment structure of a liquid crystal compound is fixed, and the number of pitches x of the helical alignment structure and a film thickness y (μm) of the polarization conversion layer satisfying '0.3≤x≤7.0', “0.5≤y≤6.0”, “y≤0.7x+3.2”, and “y≥0.7x−1.4”.

Projection image display member, windshield glass, and head-up display system

There are provided a reflection film, a windshield glass, and a head-up display system capable of suppressing formation of double images of a display image. The reflection film has a linearly polarized light reflection layer in which optically anisotropic layers and isotropic layers are laminated and a polarization converting layer, and the polarization converting layer satisfies any of conditions below. (A) The polarization converting layer is a retardation layer in which the front retardation is 30 nm to 200 nm and the angle between a slow axis direction and a direction of the transmission axis of the linearly polarized light reflection layer is 35° or less. There are provided a projection image-displaying member, a windshield glass, and a head-up display system in which both high visible light transmittance and good tint of a screen image displayed are achieved. The projection image-displaying member has a selectively reflecting layer that wavelength-selectively reflects light. The selectively reflecting layer has a maximum reflectivity in a wavelength range of 700 to 850 nm at an incidence angle of 5&#xb0; and has a peak with a reflectivity of 15% or more in a wavelength range of 470 to 540 nm. The selectively reflecting layer further has two or more peaks of reflectivity in a wavelength range of 540 to 700 nm.

A vehicle mirror having an image display function includes an image display device, a circularly polarized light reflection layer, and a front plate formed of glass or plastic in this order. The circularly polarized light reflection layer includes a linearly polarized light reflection plate and a 1/4 wavelength plate from a side of the image display device. The linearly polarized light reflection plate and the 1/4 wavelength plate are directly in contact with each other, or only an alignment layer is included between the linearly polarized light reflection plate and the 1/4 wavelength plate. A method for producing the vehicle mirror includes forming the 1/4 wavelength plate from a composition that is directly applied to the surface of the linearly polarized light reflection plate or that is directly applied to the surface of the alignment layer directly in contact with the linearly polarized light reflection plate.
