After charging or discharging is stopped, a reference timing (t) is set, and a first timing (t) at which battery voltage (V) changes by a unit amount (N) with respect to the reference timing (t), and a second timing (t) at which the battery voltage changes by twice more than the unit amount with respect to the reference timing (t) are select and set. The ratio of the time difference (t&#x2212;t) between the first and the second timing to the time difference (t&#x2212;t) between the reference and the first timing is found as a voltage change parameter (R) corresponding to the rate of change of the change speed of the voltage battery. An estimation device considers the change rate determined by the parameter is considered to be unchanged during an electrical current non-passage, and estimates a stable open circuit voltage at an object timing in future after the second timing.

Battery state estimation device and storage battery system

Provided is a battery system capable of accurately calculating a state of charge of a battery cell, an electric vehicle, a movable structure, an electricity storage device, and a power supply device. A current-based SOC calculation unit calculates a current-based SOCi on the basis of current flowing in a battery cell. A voltage-based SOC calculation unit calculates a voltage-based SOCv on the basis of the terminal voltage of the battery cell. A combined SOC calculation unit calculates a combined SOCt by weighting the SOCi and the SOCv with the respective weight coefficients (1&#x2212;&#x3b1;) and &#x3b1;, and combining the weighted SOCi and SOCv. The weight coefficients (1&#x2212;&#x3b1;) and &#x3b1; are determined based on whether the battery cell is in a charging state, a discharging state, or a charge/discharge stopped state.

After discharging has been stopped, a transient response component of the voltage remaining in the cell unit is calculated as an initial remaining voltage value (V) from the difference between the measured voltage value (CCV[t]) and the open-circuit voltage value (OCV[t]). The open-circuit voltage value is thereafter estimated on the basis of the initial remaining voltage value, a predetermined time constant, and the measured voltage value during the interval in which discharge is stopped, with consideration given to the fact that the transient response component attenuates with a predetermined time constant.
