A key switch device includes: an operation member to be depressed; a switch disposed below the operation member; a reaction force generating member that is provided between the operation member and the switch, performs elastic buckling deformation by depression of the operation member, gives a reaction force according to the elastic buckling deformation to the operation member; and a depression member that is provided between the operation member and the switch, and depresses the switch; wherein the reaction force generating member includes a supporter that supports the depression member.

A keyboard apparatus of an electronic apparatus includes a key-switch structure including a membrane switch having contact points, keycaps for operating the contact points of the membrane switch, and actuators configured to urge the keycaps upwardly upon the keycaps being pressed down, and an upper cover configured to be part of a housing of the electronic apparatus and having a mount part, the mount part supporting the key-switch structure that is placed on an upper surface of the mount part, wherein the mount part is formed integrally with the upper cover.

Provided is a key switch that enables sufficiently enhancement of the rigidity of a key top. A key switch includes a support plate; a key top disposed on the support plate; a link configured to link the key top with the support plate; a switch; a first arm disposed on a back surface of the key top between the link and a first short-side end of the key top, and extending in a long-side direction of the key top; a second arm disposed on the back surface of the key top between the link and a second short-side end of the key top, and extending in the long-side direction of the key top; and a reinforcement plate mounted on the key top. The reinforcement plate comprises a short-side part extending in the short-side direction of the key top between the first arm and the second arm.

A key switch including a base section, a key top, a pair of link members and a switching mechanism. Each link member is provided, at one end region thereof, with a toothed portion meshable with a toothed portion of another link member in a gearing manner and a pivot axle pivotably joined to the base section, and at another end region, with a slide portion slidably engaged with the key top. The base section includes a support plate and a frame member, the frame member being fixedly attached to the upper surface of the support plate. The frame member is provided with a bearing portion pivotably receiving and supporting the pivot axle of each link member. A key switch used for a keyboard incorporated as an input device in electronic equipment. The key switch includes a support plate; a key top arranged above the support plate; a pair of link members interlocked to each other to support the key top above the support plate and direct the key top in a vertical direction; and a switch mechanism capable of opening and closing a contact section of an electric circuit in accordance with a vertical movement of the key top. The switch mechanism includes a membrane switch sheet carrying the contact section at a position corresponding to the key top and placed on the support plate. Each of the link members includes a sliding part slidably engaged with the support plate. The membrane switch sheet is provided with a through-hole in a region where the sliding part of each link member is engaged with the support plate, the sliding part of the link member being slidably placed on the support plate through the through-hole in the membrane switch sheet.
