An elastic member for inkjet includes a resin composition including at least a (b)-(a)-(b) type isobutylene-based triblock copolymer including an isobutylene-based polymer block (a) and a styrene-based polymer block (b), and a styrene-based polymer.

Elastic member for inkjet

Provided is an elastic member for ink jet, including a styrene-based thermoplastic elastomer and a thermoplastic resin, in which the elastic member further includes at least a nonionic surfactant having an ethylene oxide adduct, and the content of the nonionic surfactant is 0.1 to 5 mass % with respect to the styrene-based thermoplastic elastomer. The elastic member has sufficient releasability and high liquid-contact properties, which suppresses clogging of ejection orifices due to precipitation when eluted in ink.

An ink jet recording head comprises a discharge port forming member that forms a discharge port used to discharge ink and a channel forming member that forms an ink channel communicating with the discharge port, at least either one of the channel forming member and the discharge port forming member comprising a substance having fluorine atoms and a rubber member composing a part of an ink passage continuous with the channel, the rubber member being cross-linked by an organic substance.

Ink jet recording head

Provided is a resin composition which is a material for ink supply tubes and which has excellent moisture barrier performance, air barrier performance, and kink resistance. The resin composition contains a thermoplastic elastomer (A) containing a (b)-(a)-(b)-type isobutylene triblock copolymer containing polymer blocks (a) having isobutylene units and polymer blocks (b) having styrene units and also contains a lubricant (B). The content of the thermoplastic elastomer (A) in the resin composition is 70% to 95% by mass. The content of the lubricant (B) in the resin composition is 5% to 15% by mass. The content of the (b)-(a)-(b)-type isobutylene triblock copolymer in the resin composition is 50% to 95% by mass. The content of the polymer blocks (a) in the (b)-(a)-(b)-type isobutylene triblock copolymer is 80% to 90% by mass. The content of the polymer blocks (b) in the (b)-(a)-(b)-type isobutylene triblock copolymer is 10% to 20% by mass.

An ink jet head is formed with a nozzle surface having a liquid repellent characteristic. The nozzle surface comprises a condensation product made from a hydrolyzable silane compound having a fluorine containing group and a hydrolyzable silane compound having a cationic polymerizable group.

Ink-contacting thermoplastic elastomer composition for ink jet printer

Sealants discharged from a syringe are irradiated with activation energy rays from a lamp. Thereby, it takes a predetermined time until the curing of the sealant begins after the irradiation of the activation energy rays. Therefore, the sealant can pass through between the lead wires in the meantime. As a result, a necessary amount of the sealant can enter into the lower side of the lead wire. Thereafter, the sealant begins to be cured and is gradually cured. In consequence, the sealant does not go through between the lead wires to flow into the lower side of the lead wire or flow out into locations other than the sealing location, and can gradually accumulate at the upper side of the lead wire to provide a sufficiently thick sealant.

Manufacturing method of print head and print head

Multiple grooves are formed along an inclination face of a prism-like part. A pitch of the grooves is smaller than the wavelength of light, specifically infrared light, used as a light source for detecting an ink amount. When sufficient amount of contained ink is consumed to expose the prism-like part, ink on the inclination face is held in the grooves due to their capillary force. At this time, if an amount of the ink exceeds the capacities of the grooves, no capillary force acts on the excessive ink. Accordingly, the excessive ink becomes an ink pool and slides down to an ink surface. Since the face provided with the grooves at the pitch smaller than the wavelength of the detection light source serves as a plane face optically, detection with high reliability is made possible.

Liquid container

In an ink jet recording head unit, on a surface of an ejection outlet surface of an ink jet recording head, a tape is applied so that a portion of the tape with a relatively high adhesiveness corresponds to an area of the ejection outlet surface with a relatively high hydrophobicity and a portion of the tape with a relatively low adhesiveness corresponds to an area of the ejection outlet surface with a relatively low hydrophobicity.

An ink jet head has a head substrate including discharge elements for discharging ink, with an electric wiring board being electrically connected to the head substrate, in which the periphery of the head substrate is sealed with a first sealant, and an electric splice between the head substrate and the electric wiring board is sealed with a second sealant. The first and second sealants contain the same base resin and curing agent, and the second sealant shows higher hardness than the first sealant after curing. This ink jet head is free from problems such as cavities and fissures at the boundary of the two sealants caused by a difference in linear expansion coefficients.

Method of manufacturing ink jet head and apparatus using sealants

An ink jet recording head includes a substrate including a discharge port forming member provided with discharge ports for discharging ink, and a flow path forming member for forming an ink flow path communicating with the discharge ports, wherein at least one of the flow path forming member and the discharge port forming member contains a material having fluorine atoms, a supply path used to supply ink to a supply hole, a support member supporting the substrate, a supply path forming member for forming a part of the supply path, and a rubber member provided between the support member and the supply path forming member and forming a part of the supply path. The supply path forming member or the rubber member contains a material containing bivalent metal, and the rubber member contains a compound providing counter ions to the bivalent metal.
