A ceiling-mounted air conditioning unit includes an indoor heat exchanger disposed on an outer peripheral side of a centrifugal blower. The indoor heat exchanger includes plural heat transfer tubes arranged in multiple stages in a vertical direction and in three rows in a flow direction of air blown out from the blower and are connected to a refrigerant inlet of the indoor heat exchanger in a case where the indoor heat exchanger functions as an evaporator of the refrigerant during cooling, plural liquid refrigerant tubes connected to the heat transfer tubes in a first row on a most upwind side, second row-side gas refrigerant tubes connected to a refrigerant outlet of the indoor heat exchanger during cooling and connected to the heat transfer tubes in a second row, and third row-side gas refrigerant tubes connected to the heat transfer tubes in a third row on a most downwind side.

Ceiling-mounted air conditioning unit

An objective of the invention is to obtain a structure which allows a cleaning mechanism, such as dust removal means, for an air filter to be easily mounted in an indoor unit of an air conditioner that has an air filter on the intake side of an indoor fan. The indoor unit is constituted by a main unit () including an indoor heat exchanger () and an indoor fan () for blowing air taken from a room to the indoor heat exchanger (), a cleaning unit () located on the room side of the main unit () and including an air filter () and dust removal means () for removing dust captured by the air filter (), and an indoor panel () for covering the room side of the cleaning unit ().

Indoor unit of air conditioner

A casing () contains a rotating brush () for removing dust on an air filter (), and a dust container () for containing the removed dust. A supply duct () through which air blowing from an indoor fan () enters the dust container (), and a discharge duct () through which the dust contained in the dust container () is discharged out of the casing () together with the air are provided.

A ceiling-embedded air conditioning indoor unit conditions air above a ceiling of a target space that is supplied to the target space. The ceiling has a grid shaped frame. The air conditioning indoor unit includes an indoor unit casing, a fan and a heat exchanger. The indoor unit casing has a suction port disposed in at least part of a side surface and a blow-out port disposed in at least part of an undersurface. The undersurface is substantially rectangle shaped with each side being equal to or less than 600 mm long. The fan is inside the indoor unit casing to form an air flow leading from the suction port to the blow-out port. The heat exchanger is between the fan and the suction port. An outer edge of the undersurface is on an inner side of an inner edge of the frame or along the frame.

Ceiling-embedded air conditioning indoor unit

A casing () of an indoor unit () contains an indoor fan (), an air filter (), and an indoor heat exchanger (). The indoor unit () includes: a divider plate () which includes an air hole () for attaching the air filter () therein, and divides space inside the casing () into a room upstream of an air flow passing through the air filter (), and a room downstream of the air flow passing through the air filter (); a dust removing mechanism () for removing dust trapped on the air filter (); and a dust container () for containing the dust which is removed by the dust removing mechanism (), and is transferred through a transfer duct (). The indoor heat exchanger () is arranged around the indoor fan (), and the dust container () is arranged below the indoor heat exchanger ().

An indoor unit () is provided with an output control portion () for controlling a cleaning signal output portion () to output a cleaning signal when it is determined that the amount of dust in a dust storing portion () has reached a predetermined first level, and when it is determined that the amount of dust in the dust storing portion () has reached a second level that is higher than the first level.

Disclosed is an indoor unit having a dust storage container in which dust removed from an air filter is stored, and a dust collecting box into which the dust in the dust storage container is transferred by utilizing an effect of blown air. The dust storage container is provided with a full condition detection means for detecting a dust full condition of the dust collecting box. The full condition detection means includes an LED and a phototransistor which are opposed to each other with a storage portion interposed therebetween. After a dust transfer operation which transfers the dust from the dust storage container to the dust collecting box, an intensity of light of the LED that has passed through the storage portion is detected by the phototransistor. If the detected light intensity is equal to or less than a set value, a full condition of the dust collecting box is detected.

An objective of the invention is to obtain a cleaning unit which allows a cleaning mechanism, such as a dust removal device, for an air filter to be easily mounted in an indoor unit of an air conditioner that has an air filter on the intake side of an indoor fan. The cleaning unit includes: a chamber casing () connected to a room side of an indoor main unit () having an indoor heat exchanger () and an indoor fan () which draws air from the room and blows the air to the indoor heat exchanger (); an air filter () provided in the chamber casing () on an intake side of the indoor fan (); and a dust removal device () configured to remove dust captured by the air filter ().

Cleaning unit of air conditioner

In an indoor unit of an air conditioner including an air filter arranged on a suction side of an indoor fan, dust trapped on the air filter is reliably and efficiently removed by a simple structure. For that purpose, an indoor unit () is provided with a dust remover () for removing dust trapped on an air filter () arranged on a suction side of an indoor fan (), and a filter presser () for pressing a frame () of the air filter () so as to press the air filter () against the dust remover (). The air filter () is configured to move relative to the dust remover (), and the filter presser ().

An air filter () intermittently rotates by a predetermined rotation angle at each time, while being in contact with a bristle portion () of a rotating brush (). Accordingly, dust on the air filter () is scraped by the bristle portion (). The brush member () rotates about an axial center of a shaft () at each stop of the intermittent rotation of the air filter (), to come into contact with a cleaning brush member (). According, dust on the brush member () is removed by the cleaning brush member ().

An indoor unit of an air conditioner having an air filter provided on a suction side of an indoor fan has a construction in which dust removed from the air filter by a dust removing part can be recovered easily and reliably. The construction includes a dust removing part () for removing dust captured by an air filter () provided on the suction side of an indoor fan (), storage containers (), () having the dust removing part () stored therein, a nozzle insertion part () into which a nozzle () of a cleaner can be inserted, and a suction passage () for making the storage containers (), () to communicate with the nozzle insertion part ().

An indoor unit of an air conditioner includes: a casing (); an indoor fan (); an air filter (); an inlet port () in which the air filter () is attached, and a divider plate () for dividing space in the casing () into a room upstream of air passing through the air filter () and a room downstream of air passing through the air filter (). The indoor unit conditions room air sucked into the casing () through the air filter (). The indoor unit includes a rotating brush () for removing dust trapped on the air filter (), and a dust container () for containing the removed dust. An access opening () which allows for checking of an electrical component box () in the casing () is formed in the divider plate (), and an access lid () for closing the access opening () is provided.

Dust collection structure for collecting the dust removed from an air filter of an indoor unit has been devised to reduce user's labor in collecting the dust as much as possible. An indoor unit includes, in a casing, an indoor heat exchanger, an indoor fan for sucking air from inside of a room, and blowing the air to the inside of the room, and an air filter arranged on an inlet side of the indoor fan. The dust trapped on the air filter is removed by the dust removing means, and is contained in the dust containing part. A nozzle connector for arranging a nozzle of a cleaner at a predetermined position where suction of the contained dust is allowed is provided at a downstream outlet of a dust collection path as a transfer path for transferring the dust in collecting the contained dust.

Air conditioner and extension nozzle of cleaner used for the same

A ceiling embedded type air conditioner that reduces short circuits without increasing drafts due to air currents blown out from outlets includes a casing and a fan. The casing includes a casing lower part formed by an alternating sequence of four panel side parts and four panel corner parts. The casing further includes four main outlet passageways along the panel side parts, auxiliary outlet passageways in the three panel corner parts and an inlet that is surrounded by all of the panel side parts. The auxiliary outlet passageways are formed so that the spacing between each auxiliary outlet passageways and a corresponding adjacent main outlet passageways satisfies a prescribed dimensional relationship.

Air conditioner

An air conditioner principally includes a casing having a casing lower part formed by an alternating sequence of four panel side parts and four corner parts. The casing further has main outlets disposed along each of the panel side parts, and auxiliary outlets disposed at the corner parts. The air conditioner further includes horizontal flaps rotatably supported about longitudinal axes of the main outlets. A circumferential edge part of each of the auxiliary outlets is formed so that the air from each of the auxiliary outlets is blown out in a fixed direction.
