In an IPM rotor, a first core sheet has a first sheet hole forming a part of an accommodation hole. The first sheet hole has an edge portion having a flat spring portion which is bent by a magnet through insertion of the magnet into the accommodation hole. A pair of recesses forming a clearance with respect to the magnet are formed at both side portions of the flat spring portion of the edge portion of the first sheet hole. A size of the clearance is set based on a relationship between a magnitude of a pressing force of the flat spring portion on the magnet and variation in pressing force.

In an electric power steering device, a control unit includes: a power module including a plurality of switching elements configured to supply current to motor windings of a motor; a control board configured to output a control signal to each of the plurality of switching elements; a housing forming an outer case of the control unit; a power supply connector; and a signal connector. The control board is provided in parallel to the axial direction of the output shaft of the motor, and a projection is formed at a bottom portion on the non-output side of the housing so as to protrude to the non-output side. A non-output side end portion of the control board is inserted into the projection, and the power supply connector and the signal connector are provided in a region other than the projection of an outer wall surface of the bottom portion.

A method of manufacturing an armature coil includes steps of arranging a plurality of coil conductors of the armature coil between an end metal die and a back portion metal die on a lower metal die; pressing, with the upper metal die in a pressing direction, the plurality of the coil conductors arranged between the end metal die and the back portion metal die on the lower metal die; and removing coil conductors that become formed in a convex shape and a concave shape from the lower metal die. The upper metal die may be provided with an inclined portion on a lower metal die side of the upper metal die, and the upper metal die may be configured to be pressed such that a space is formed by the dies, the space having a width that gets gradually narrower.

Method of manufacturing armature coil

According to the present invention, provided is an IPM rotor of the present invention, which includes a plurality of core sheets, having hole portions configured to accommodate magnets and being laminated on one another, and the magnets are inserted in the hole portions. The IPM rotor includes a first core sheet having a spring plate portion provided to the hole portion, and a second core sheet having a recessed portion provided the hole portion. A protruding portion is provided to the hole portion of at least one of the plurality of the laminated core sheets. The protruding portion is provided to at least one of the hole portion of the first core sheet, the hole portion of the second core sheet, or a hole portion of a third core sheet to be further arranged.

With an object of allowing steering wheel operation to be carried out easily at a normal time and when an abnormality occurs, the invention includes a motor having two windings and a control unit having two control systems that supply control signals to each winding of the motor, and when an abnormality occurs in one winding of the motor or in one system inside the control unit, a supply of current to the winding in which the abnormality has occurred is cut to zero, and the motor is driven by a predetermined current necessary at a normal time being supplied to the other winding, while at a time of a normal drive when no abnormality has occurred, the current supply is shared between the two windings, whereby the motor is driven.

There are provided two sets of control units for driving an electric motor having two sets of independent windings; a power source is supplied through a single power-source connector; a conductive member connected with a terminal of the power-source connector branches into at least two portions in the vicinity of the power-source connector; two sets of power source relays, filters, and inverter circuits are arranged symmetrically with respect to the power-source connector.

When detecting an abnormality in a portion related to control of an electric motor, a CPU that calculates a control amount for controlling the electric motor calculates a control amount different from a control amount at a normal time so as to continue the control of the electric motor and changes a threshold value for detecting the abnormality to a value different from a value at a normal time.

In an electric power steering device including a controller, which is configured to carry out feedback control for a motor including independent two coil winding groups and being configured to rotate a steering mechanism of a vehicle, when one of the two groups recovers from a failure that has occurred in the one group while control is continued solely by another group due to the failure, the controller resumes cooperative control by the two groups, and when starting the cooperative control, sets target current values of the one group and the another group to values different from a final target current value based on an actual current value or a target current value of the another group at a time of the recovery, to thereby output respective control amounts for the cooperative control.

Integrated electric power steering apparatus

Provided is an integrated electric power steering apparatus including a positive-side wiring pattern configured to connect a positive side of a power supply and a positive side of an inverter circuit and a negative-side wiring pattern configured to connect a negative side of the power supply and a negative side of the inverter circuit, in which one of the wiring patterns is formed on a central side of a wiring board and another of the wiring patterns is formed on an outer periphery side of the wiring board. A plurality of switching elements forming the inverter circuit are mounted between the positive-side wiring pattern and the negative-side wiring pattern formed on the wiring board.

Two sets of independent armature windings and two sets of control units are provided; a single power-source connector branches into at least four lines in the vicinity of a power-source terminal; a power source relay, a filter, and an inverter circuit are connected, in that order, with a line where a large current flows; a control circuit unit is connected with a line where a small current flows and a detection circuit for detecting an abnormality in the control circuit unit is provided in that line.

In this vehicle electronic control device, a control board having an electronic component mounted thereon is housed inside a case and a connector portion for connecting the control board to the outside is formed integrally with the case. The connector portion is formed by a housing portion covering the control board, and a terminal portion integrally embedded in the housing portion. The terminal portion has: a terminal for external connection, protruding from the housing portion; and an intermediate path portion extending from the terminal and connected to the control board. An exposure portion which allows the intermediate path portion to be exposed over the entire periphery thereof is formed in a part of the housing portion. An interface sealing member for sealing the interface between the housing portion and the intermediate path portion is provided in the exposure portion.

The motor unit includes a motor case containing a stator and a rotor fixed to an output shaft; the control unit includes a unit case containing constituent members of the control unit that controls the motor unit; the motor unit and the control unit are fixed to each other in such a way that an axle-direction end, at the unit case side, of the motor case is made to abut on an axle-direction end, at the motor unit side, of the unit case and then the both ends are bonded to each other.
