A processing control device controls a tool for processing a first workpiece. The processing control device includes a driving unit to drive the tool, an output unit, and a control unit to control the driving unit and the output unit. Processing information obtained by performing preliminary processing on a second workpiece before performing first processing on the first workpiece is transmitted by the control unit to the output unit and accordingly the processing information is outputted from the output unit. The control unit generates a control command for performing second processing that is performed on the first workpiece after the first processing. The control unit controls the driving unit according to the control command.

The engine starting device includes a pinion unit which is spline-coupled to an output shaft side of a starter motor to slide in an axial direction, the pinion unit including a one-way clutch which spins for rotation in the same direction as that of rotation of the engine, and a pushing mechanism for moving the pinion unit to a position in which the pinion unit comes into meshing engagement with a ring gear. A pinion gear of the pinion unit is movable in the axial direction as a single body, and includes a chamfered portion having a curved surface along a tooth surface on a non-torque transmitting surface side and a large length in the axial direction, the chamfered portion being provided to a ring-gear side distal end portion of the tooth surface on the non-torque transmitting surface side.

An engine-starting device for stopping the engine after satisfaction of an idling-stop condition during idling of a vehicle, starting rotation of a starter-motor upon satisfaction of a starter-motor rotation start condition, and causing a pinion gear to mesh with a ring gear upon satisfaction of a pinion gear meshing condition, includes the ring gear to be connected to a crank shaft, the pinion gear for transmitting the starter-motor rotation, a plunger for causing the pinion gear to mesh with the ring gear, and a starter control section for instructing energization of the starter-motor, in which the starter-motor is energized to be rotated upon the satisfaction of the starter-motor rotation start condition prior to clearing of the idling-stop condition in response to a restart request, and the pinion gear is caused to mesh with the ring gear by the plunger upon the satisfaction of the pinion gear meshing condition.

A switchgear apparatus is provided in which an impact induced by a close operation is mitigated, featuring space saving and high reliability with low costs. The switchgear apparatus includes a switching unitthat is composed of a fixed electrodeand a movable electrode; a movable shaftthat is extended from the movable electrode; an operating mechanismthat produces driving force and transfers the driving force to the movable shaft; a switching-unit holderthat holds the switching unitand the movable shaftthereinside; and a holder supporting unitthat has a fixing plane so as to fix the switching-unit holderthereonto. The switchgear apparatus is arranged in such a manner that the holder supporting unitserving as the fixing plane is constituted of a plurality of plates layered in the axial direction along the movable shaft. In a case of the close operation, because kinetic energy in the overall system is consumed by the friction generated between the layered plates owing to distortion of the layered plates, energy that allows the movable electrodeto bounce back and forth is lowered, so that it is possible to shorten a chattering time.

Method for manufacturing an armature for a dynamo-electric machine

A torque sensor where a first rotary shaft and a second rotary shaft are disposed on a common axial line, with the first rotary shaft and the second rotary shaft being coupled together by a torsion bar, and which detects torsional torque applied between the first rotary shaft and the second rotary shaft, the torque sensor including: magnetic field generating means that generates a magnetic field in the radial direction around the common axial line; magnetic field varying means that varies, in response to the relative rotation between the first rotary shaft and the second rotary shaft, the direction and size of detected magnetic flux flowing along the common axial line from the magnetic field generating means; and a magnetic sensor that detects the detected magnetic flux, wherein the magnetic sensor generates an output signal whose polarity changes in response to the direction of the detected magnetic flux and whose size changes in response to the size of the detected magnetic flux.

Armature for a dynamo-electric machine having offsetting and overlapping coils
